"It just wasnt like the Old Days anymore." He can say that again. In his youth Morrissey's voice was so melodic. In this performance it's very flat. He's done much better than this recently. The guitar, bass, drums, even the piano and string arrangements. He produced and mixed everything. I believe Johnny was the driving force behind The Smiths, don't get me wrong Morrissey was also a genius. I just think Johnny added the creative element to the band. Not forgetting Rourke and Joyce, they did what they had to do. Nobody could have pulled it off other than those two. At the end of the day though, what a band. One of the greatest.

However, I don't think he's completely lost without Marr a lot of his solo work at least the early stuff was fantastic just like The Smiths. Besides, Marr is more lost he's with Modest Mouse now taking orders from a man half his age. Modest Mouse is fucking great and I like that Marr is with them now but he seems like he's trying too hard to stay in the mainstream joining them. So Morrissey wins.
