@treuburgerPOL Vilnius was never polish only when poland broke peace and occupied part of Lithuania with Vilnius and polonized jews belarusians and lithuanians, Vilnius from 1300 is Lithuanias capital fond by duke Gediminas and it was fond and build by lithuanians so poland have nothing apart (some belarusians speaking in polish language ) so its not 1918years stop changing history and live in peace :)

Nobody with half a brain in Poland wants Vilnius to be part of Poland again. Good relations with our neighbours are far more important. The few posters here speaking about "Polish Wilno" etc are a tiny minority and I suspect are just teasing.
So just don't worry about it. Its yours now for good. In EU it doesn't really matter anyway. Isn'tr Schengen just great?? :))

Hmm interesting i didn't knew this. Actually whole cahtedral was reconstucted many times. In 1419 cathedral burned down. During the preparation for his coronation as King of Lithuania, Vytautas built a significantly larger Gothic Cathedral in its place

St. Anne's Church was built as we know it today by Alexander Jagiellończyk due 1495 - 1500
In 1263 you destroyed (unfinished) Cathedral and due to Crown diplomacy rebuilded in 1387 but its real glory this building had in times of Commonwealth
