Also I think you need to take History 101 it's offered in all high schools, Check out a chapter Called FDR and the New Deal ... Appearently Roosevelt - Spent a grand amount of money and got the US out of this thing called the great depression by creating public works jobs and getting people back to work building roads. BASIC HISTORY - the depression didn't end until after world war 2 when our nation became productive again. BASIC ECONOMICS - Increasing government spending will only put us further into debt and will not help us out of this recession/depression. This is especially true when the spending is done on war material which provides no economic benefit to the US, instead it is super inflationary. Our recent presidents have spent us into an oblivion, you can only cure a recession through savings.

The fact is that the depression would have ended much earlier than it did, and that FDR's programs PROLONGED the recovery. Your revisionist history books didn't even bother to tell you about the great depression of 1920. That's right. We had a depression in 1920 as well, that most people have never heard of. How did we get our of that depression quickly? By cutting taxes. FACT.
