the finest of Tarantino's opuses by far....Anyway he's not an innovator in the movie industry. He also had the guts to smuggle B-movie flicks into mainstream Hollywood with a certain taste. Nothing more!!!
this is a great song, but what's that song that plays when max first saw jackie, i can't find out what it's called and I need to know I love that song!!!!
The beginning of the music works so well with the opening Miramax logo that for some reason, I thought it *was* the Miramax logo music. For some reason it took me a few viewings of this movie to realize that it wasn't - just good music choice.
I think I'm wrong somehow, but this film is my favourite Tarantino. I find all the characters engaging and believeable. Love how Jackie ends up on top at the end of the film...
@Watermellin you very perceptive! I didn't catch on to that. Knowing QT's style, he probably DID edit that to scene to synch with the music. I love the way he intersperses the scenes and sounds with music in his films. They're so simple and subtle, yet they are so damn original simultaneously.
@kinc1967 I most certinlly CAN'T see why you didn't liked it, maybe becasue your into plot more than into violence. in that case i'd highly recomend you to watch the second one, i think it's better than the first. it's a more-plot-less-action sequel. when did you watch the first one by the way? when it came out?
@DirtiProductions i wouldnt say compleatly, yes its someone going through the airport terminal, but the way this is directed is more...whats the word warm? its more inviting where the graduate sets up its mood which i say is more... eerie, dreamy almost. but thats my opinion.
And to think when Pam first read the script she thought Quentin wanted her to play the role of Melanie. LOL!!! He was uuh no Pam I want you to play JACKIE!!!! LOL!!!
This movie is a Tarantino masterpiece but hardly anybody knows about it. Great dialouge, characters, and plot. It could rival Pulp Fiction for the spot of his best film
His finest film, and Pam Grier is amazing! Bridget Fonda also plays a good part. Pam is one of the finest looking women in the world. I had the pleasure of seeing this film on its opening in Leicester Square, thanks to my friend Leloir, it will go down as one of my finest evenings!. Tune of Tunes! x x
OMG!!! Tarantino can always pick so perfect and good music to his films. Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and Jackie Brown are all awesome soundtracks. Kill Bill is also good.
ooooh no man, you did not just say the soundtrack is better than Pulp Fiction... I mean I think Jackie Brown is better, but not under soundtrack criteria
I liked this movie but honestly it's probably Tarantino's worst, Pulp Fiction is clearly Tarantino at his best, some call it overrated, it's much more indie than the rest of his movies (besides Reservoir Dogs)

Pam Grier is still just as beautiful, elegant, sophisticated, sexy. She is so beautiful and confident. The confidence and poise in her walk. Always remembered this significant opening scene. Love her!!
its funny how they talk bout pam grier in reservoir dogs and she ended up on jackie brown, and they talked bout cain (david carradine) from kung fu in pulp fiction and david carradine ended up on kill bill
@bobbylee1557 Vaguely..I jsut remember the scene where they were talking about Christy Love and that "You undr arrest, sugar" line and listen closely to the way that Steve Buscemi says it.
Pam has always been a film presence. Check out Fort Apache the Bronx, Grier plays a terrifying cop-killer. In Something Wicked this Way Comes, she is the "Dust Witch". Cool actress.
Here's some trivia for you kids: Robert Forster was nominated for an oscar for his role as Max Cherry that year. He lost to Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting.
