Second largest in the U.S., fourth largest in the world, third busiest in the world, most capable in the world, most FAA ATC towers in the U.S., main hub for American Airlines, and so big it has it's own FBI office. That's impressive. I'm proud of DFW - when people say everything's bigger in Texas, they find out it's true!
I think they need to expand the airport by building an additonal terminal with a few more gates. I think its the lack of gates that leads to major flight delays in DFW. It seems like every Wed. and Thurs. every flight is delayed. They might need to add an additonal runway, but i dont think runways are the problem.

I'm not afraid of flying so much as the AIRPORTS themselves :/ I've never flown anywhere, and in two weeks, I'm going to have to fly from Nashville to this Dallas airport, to Seattle. I've lived in a small town all my life. Never even been in an airport, and I'm going to be flying completely alone. I'm afraid I won't know how to find my 'gate' ... I don't even really know what a gate is o.o I'm afraid I'll get lost or do something stupid and miss my flight. :[

As in the runways are SO huge they're approved as landing strips by NASA for the space shuttle in case of emergencies. They're waaaay long. I worked at this airport for 3 years & the ONLY reason some gates, mainly in terminal E, are vacant is because Delta airlines pulled out due to cuts in the # of flights they offer. Really YOU ARE a dumbass (blue99blue). Get your facts straight before you make yourself look stupid again.
I LOVE THIS AIRPORT. I am from Oklahoma and I have been to this airport several times and it's amazing. I am still amazed for those trams that take you to your gate around the terminals. It's awesome! I have never had any problems getting "lost" all you have to do is READ and it will take you exactly where you need to be! Another great Airport is the one in MEMPHIS, TN.
