In my experience the people who work, cut and stack their own wood are huge supporters of good woodland management which provides important habitat and high quality woodland.

I'm certainly no tree-hater and we've got 2 wood burners here.

Are you and an Idiot , stock piling is keep form freezing to death not a status thing. Actually for a while before was it in to be green people were look dow on for wood burning stoves or heater seen a poor (i know cause my grand ma was a widow and had use wood stove cause she couldn't afford to heat her house.) so your smugness piss me off. cuse they consider too poor to run or have electricity so you smugness is is kinda pissing me off.

was thought up by the west about 20 years ago to STOP China building 2+ coal burning power stations per week, which they needed to power their ever growing number of factories, which in turn has fuelled their now proven economic growth to Mega Super Power Status! If I'm correct Global Warming is the biggest SCAM in human history so lets all go cut down 800 trees 2 heat our bean n sausages up in the morn! The Ozone lays in both the Arctic & Ant-Arctic have long since repaired themselves too!

Talking about Carbon Footprints..has any one even stopped to take notice that all our governments are doing about Global Warming is to tax us all the way to the bottom of our bank accounts? They ain’t stopping use for driving out 3ltr gas guzzling vehicles or flying all around the globe when ever we or even burn 800 tree a year! Lol CFC gases are still in use in many pressurized canisters, as well as fridges & TVs. It all a huge global con! I have a theory that the term "Global Warming".......

@TheWantToExist Stop talking nonsense! Carbon Dioxide is one of the main greenhouse gases! We breath it out, trees breath it in & breath out oxygen for us all to breath! Were cutting down rain forests so fast that it cant be measured accurately & as the world is now over populated by 3 billion, our main climate cleaner...ie TREES are now too few to clean our atmosphere & keep planet earth stable! That's the main cause of Global warming, in my opinion! So burning wood is far from neutral!

This is what happens when you grow up on an island at the end of the highway in northern ontario, then you return 20 years later with the 5 people that grew up with you and get wasted.
