I'd recommend leaving off anything that you can't actually use in-game. No accessories unless they can be utilized. Otherwise, it's just a waste of effort. A bipod adds forward weight to rifles and machine guns and the sort that have bipods are usually heavy to begin with (except for the beloved SIG SG550 which has a bipod integral with the forearm). The M-60 and the BAR are both hogs to lug around and the bipods they use add a lot of forward weight but they're meant to be fired prone anyway.
In the Oblivion Lost mod for STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, there are a couple of different machine pistols that have foregrips but your character doesn't use them. So why are they there? In each case, it's a model with a foregrip that's removable in real life. So if they're just going to go halfassed and recycle old animations, the purpose of which is to same time and effort, why cancel that out by adding unused accessories to weapon models? It just doesn't make sense. It's inconsistent.
