  • 90% of this planes are stolen ! Germany already tried to build this palnes during the 2nd WW

  • Love that XP-55 Ascender! Looks like something Burt Rutan would have designed.

  • great, thanks for the upload

  • 1,27,, was ist der Name der Ebene???'??

  • @AndrewFletcher01 Northrop XF5U-1 Flapjack

  • Not to be a bastard, but the aircraft that appears at 1:43 is probably a photoshop. The aircraft depicted is a post-war B-17 which had the nose replaced with an early turbo-prop. However, it maintained the original 4 Radial Pratt and Whitney engines. It's a 'shopped JB-17G.

  • @panzerrat that is real. try looking up the regristration number on the wing.

  • @GrigoriZhukov Looked it up, the airframe still had all the radials onboard. Curtiss-Wright sold the bird in 1966, and the next owner converted it back to just a 4 engine bomber, reinstalling a nose from a different airframe. N5111N was registered as an aerial tanker and crashed in 1980. She, and parts from other B-17s are being rebuilt as an airworthy plane as N3154S.

  • @panzerrat SWEET! I ought to keep track of the airtankers as many old warbirds have been doing it for years.

  • hello well done love Beethoven

  • Oh, Shalom, didn't hear you come. Greetings and welcome to Ask That Guy with the Glasses...

  • 1:30 is the flapjack isnt it

  • there is a B-17 with a prop on the nose though, never went into war

  • 4:04 That thing can fly?

  • @foel12 Why not? It's got enough wings...

  • very relaxed vid

  • could have been called "ugly aircraft montage"

  • The turboprop b-17 was real. I read about it in warbirds international.

  • Crazy-Ass Test Pilots!

    Thanks!

  • whats the name of the super small jet fighter at 2:35????

  • @markthehippie1 The Goblin. A failed attempt at a parasite fighter for the B-36.

  • @maxsmodels you know your planes.

  • @posb9292 fairey gannet

  • & what is this music called ?

  • @isbastardbunny Moonlight Sonata by Beehtoven

  • are any of them fake? and what is the midget plane at 4:00?

  • @JBTKiller3000 Search on google: "starr bumble bee"

  • Who made this classical music ?

  • @isbastardbunny Beethoven

  • @posb9292Fairey Gannet was a British carrier-borne anti-submarine warfare and airborne early warning aircraft of the post-Second World War era developed for the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm by the Fairey Aviation Company.

  • It's much better if you mute it and play this in another tab: /watch?v=3BNbWcXNc58

  • I disliked this based on the music. Don't get me wrong, I love classical music...but a video montage of unusual planes needs to be played to something like yakety sax.

  • this is like listening to a funeral.

  • I can almost hear the test pilots words, "You want me to do what? In that!!!"

  • @oldfart387 hahaha lol u mad me rolf

  • after seeing this, I know now, everything flies except humans!

  • 3:22 - 3:25 - this pretty is standing in Polish Aviation Museum Cracow. PZL M-15 was designed for agro purpouses. See 'virtual tour' on their website

  • What is this song? I love it but cannot identify it!

    Thanks!

  • At 3:40, what the hell is that thing? Wow! Looks like a hybrid between a F-8 Crusader, a Vigilante, and an I don't know what. Look at those "pectoral" stabs on the underside of the fuselage. Must have had serious stability issues. Anybody know?

  • @jonesy97 A Crusader - early version, before they chopped it for carriers. It was fitted with a wing whose angle of attack could be raised for landing and take-off. Yes, it had high-speed stability issues...

  • @beachcomber2008 Yeah, that pivoting wing was a bizzare feature for an aircraft. Guess it provided more lift, for like you said, take-off and landing. Thx.

  • @jonesy97 It gave the pilot a downward view. Especially handy when landing.:)

  • @beachcomber2008 I think you can actually see the word "Crusader" just forward of the canopy. Good call.

  • @JetMechMA Actually, there's a full list of these beasts up above. We both missed it. :)

  • @ 258 i went holy sht its firefly! :)

  • Awesome collection of Pictures, and a good video. Right up to the part where you gave up telling us what each one was.

  • What?! manned V-1 buzz bombs didn't make the list?!

  • What the hell happened to the original music? The previous music made this video. This music sucks!

  • 2:57 reminds me of the millennium falcon

  • Nice compilation, sort of surprised GeeBee R1 wasn't included.

  • It's still better if we research for CMA energy

  • The test pilots of some of these must have steel balls.

  • 2:47 Yak-15 or Yak-19

  • 3:00 Turtle???

  • lol 2:35 ... BF1942 Secrets Weapons of WWII XD that this was a turd to fly

  • @TheNinjari That was the Goblin. A parasite fighter for the B-35 bomber. Very post ww2 and a total bust.

  • @maxsmodels yeah ... if i remember correctly they used a huge "roller-coaster" like test ramp for these puppies during there 1st test phase .. lolz that would have been awesome to see.

  • @TheNinjari From a safe distance!

  • how does u defend to kill the romanian whife when the last "pale" democracy fell in romania

an du dont cut bin ladins daughters into pieces and feed em to the pigs?

  • 2:01 looks like an upsidedown bathtub with wings

  • at 0:40 looks like the predecessor to the modern day Osprey

  • 0:38 is a Lockheed Salmon right?

  • @WarHammerGmer Correct, XFV aka Lockheed Salmon

  • @maxsmodels Don't forget to give Beethoven credit for using his song in your video!

  • @maxsmodels 0:10... The TF-86 was a comun training plane all over NATO countries and i flew one about 12 years ago. Why you call it Unusual?

  • no the b-17 single engine is real they are testing an extremly high powered turbo prop engine a jb-17g

  • Great planes, but the video is missing the Kalinin K-7

    Look that one up :D

  • and BTW, for anyone thats wondering, all of the planes that are really short and stubby, those are pretty much jet engines with cockpits, they where mainly made by the germans in late WW2 as bomber destroyers, they could fly fast, high and long distances without using a lot of fuel.

  • makes you wonder what people had running through thier heads when they made these planes/VTOLs

  • ...not free youtube music. its moonlight by beethoven

  • techno is for monkeys... this music fits here almost perfect :)

  • This is a good soundtrack. Please, no techno.

  • The XP-55 (at 1:04) reminds me of some of the later Burt Rutan designs.

  • eeeww most of these were just not very pretty

  • i wish all of these planes were identified by the video maker

  • i wish all of these planes were identified

  • what up with the scary music

  • lol 0:57 looks like a moded bat mobile

  • The Bellanca is a type known as the Aircruiser. Bellanca also made a similar design called the Airbus. But it had square or rectangular windows.

  • Many of this "unusual" made a gread Job.

  • Millennium Falcon V0.0001 at 3:00

  • The "photoshopped" B17 is ex.. 44-85734, ( N 5111N ) in the original photo sequence the 4 R-1820 engines are off and feathered. The engine in the nose being a Pratt and Whitney XT 34 turbo-prop. THIS is why I am single...

  • I have seen one of those aerocar.

  • ok most of these planes i can explain before and during WW2 they were experimenting on aircraft to make them better who did the most the Germans thats why most look german made

  • @rallyman0044

Except that most of these aircraft aren't German.

  • @rallyman0044 Nah, the germans didn't make the most. Quite the contrary. They're just the most wellpublished, with a hord of fanboys around, totally ignorant of everything else. The P-86 project (later F-86 Sabre) started in 1944. How so you think they went from the numbers P-38, P-39, P40... to '86' in just a few years?

  • @rallyman0044

Actually, most of these aircraft are postwar design, the majority comes from the mad sixties.

  • Great choice of music!

    Seriously, I love Beethoven.

  • Music by Debussy.

  • 1:01 Anus jet

  • nice work dude..,

  • 2:04 it was accually a prototype of the b2 spirt bomber

  • @Nevabackdown608087

You're thinking of HAVE BLUE, the F117 prototype. The one in the picture is TACIT BLUE, which was supposed to be a stealthy recon plane (though really it'd make a better stealthy cruise missile).

  • Love the music and the airplane montage. Some people just don't understand classical music I guess.

  • @LonesomeTroubadour some people ain't got no culture!

  • 1:22 How does it fly? I dont see any engines.

  • @Suomipanzerdiv13 I think that they're on the side.

  • Last entry is a Consolidated R2Y "Liberator Liner" (Consolidated Model 39)

  • Please identify 2:43, what seems to be a VTOL transport.

  • @brooklandvideo It was an experimental German Dornier VSTOL

  • @maxsmodels Right, Do 31E

  • @maxsmodels i wish all of them were identified in this montage~~

  • @maxsmodels i wish all of them were identified...

  • @brooklandvideo

    It's a Do-31 from the sixties.

  • Beethoven?

  • why the tandem wings arent popular

  • 3:01 looks like part of the Millenium Falcon

  • I' ve seen a few of these strange birds fly in my youth during airshows.

  • 3:38 epic

  • 2:25 be-10 mallow

  • 1:15 is a royal navy fairey gannet a engine is a mambas twin fuse turboprop engine max speed 310 mph

  • that guy with teh glasses music... priceless

  • whats at 1:43? looks to me like a single engine b-17

  • @ere1313 I have been told it is a photoshop of the origianl which still had the 4 piston engines. It was an early turborop testbed

  • @ere1313 that's a fotomontage. This is JB-17G and she is use experimental engin XT34 P&W, but still have got 4 engine behind wings.

  • nice. my fave is at 2:47

  • Cool video. There are a few that really have me scratching my head.

  • What is it at 1.37, sweet thing....

  • @bsfo2 AT-9 Jeep

  • i like the music because this is like a funeral - the death of trilllions of dollars wasted on these planes -

  • Put the cool techno music back on this video PLEASE!!!

  • @moplin1 No matter what music I pick I get complaints. they muted my original sound track.

  • @maxsmodels

    It is moonlight sonata, Beethoven

  • @moplin1 Esta PERFECTA LA MUSICA.

  • 2:35 Does that thing even fly ??? hahahahahahahahahaha

  • are they real planes

  • @nilsie1000 Everyone of them is real.

  • @nilsie1000 What is the airplane at 1.46? it looks like a Tu 16 Badger.

  • Changed the theme... -.-.

  • Like the planes, love the music.

  • Fantastic posts!!!

  • 0:47 should be Ekranoplan not Ikranoplan. FYI.

  • Very interesting collection, some I recognise, most I don't.. Hard to believe some of them were ever considered airworthy, as hard to believe that some poor test pilot had to try and wrestle the thing into the air and get back down safely..

    Thanks for sharing

  • This song has inspired me to put on an 80's style sweat suit and run up a large flight of stairs... Possibly infront of a library or courthouse.

  • @ninjarider1 you are right about the removed engines, but the radial engine in front is real. the plane was a testbed for pratt and whitney

  • You did get one fake in there. At 1:44, the aircraft is a photoshopped B-17. They removed the engines, and added a turboprop in front. No harm, it looks cool as hell. The only reason I know this is because I saw it in one of the WWII aircraft magazines, and they explained what it was.

  • You did get one fake in there. At 1:44, the aircraft is a photoshoped B-17. They removed the engines, and added a turboprop in front. No harm, it looks cool as hell. The only reason I know this is because I saw it in one of the WWII aircraft magazines, and they explained what it was.

  • 1.45 i sooo beautiful

  • 1,48 is sooo beautiful

  • Very interesting video, thank you. :-)

  • Dang, you changed the music :( Same artist, but less dubstep-like.

  • who says there fake!they are REAL and @hammr25 your right haha **** music

  • Thank God for the mute button

  • @hammr25 Yu know what. you are right. It is that canned music from Youtube. let me see if I can find something more tolerable.

  • @hammr25 yeah

  • @SPAD58 There is only so mudh frees music on Youtube. They kept muting the orignal sound.

  • 1:56 no one had a name for that t hing lol

  • The aircraft at 1:15 is a Fairey Gannet, and was a production aircraft for The Royal Navy, it replaced the Douglas Skyraiders the Navy used for early warning and anti- submarine warfare,

  • 3:02 looks like a Firefly!

  • Absolute, all these planes is real. They are not in use, only prototype, but is real.

  • 3:38 That machine is a real monster

  • i dont see how the thunderscreech is weird

  • There u can see they stole others ideas......, japanese J7W1 Shinden, german me262......and some others not so famous, even with that trick UK, Russia and Germany still being the masters of war machines

  • @jorgemst3in The fuck you say...you really are an ignorant dumkopf. BY that standard the CSA should have won the us's first revolution. NOT

  • @GrigoriZhukov shut the fuck up idiot, the truth is USA always copy and modify stolen ideas, stupid or not but they do it

f22 < Eurofighter Typhoon easy example

  • @jorgemst3in Nope youd be dead fucking wrong...the typhoon has NOTHING incommon with the F22 except being over priced. Tell me WHO made the first H.O.T.S and PROVE it was copied. It's a trick question because newsflash I do know WHO did who did it next and which countries avionics people didn't even know the originator had invented it whilst they created their own.

  • the XF5U was named the flying "pancake" not the flapjack but good vid anyway

  • lol frying his ears

  • Please, next time, turn the volume down to 100%, instead of 500%! It doesn’t get louder than 100%! And then it does not sound like it’s clipped and compressed to death.

  • Anybody know what the plan at 2:02 on the video is?

  • WOW... I didn't think the Goblin paracite fighter still exsisted. And as for the A10. Slow maybe , ugly yeah but I don't anybody dumb enough to argue with a gatling gun

  • 1:58: Anti bermuda triangle charm?

  • What a crappy soundtrack!!!

  • The soundtrack is terrible!! Please fix or dosomefink!

  • The music soundtrack is HORRIBLE!!! Fix or dosomefink!!!

  • 2:03 It a platypus

  • that pusher plane you didnt have a name for was called the ascender, but commenly called te ass-ender

  • all of them are so ugly

    but so COOOOOOOOOOOL !!

  • Any idea what 3:02 is?

  • @Airbattleship: It's the wreck of a Beriev VVA-14M1P ekranoplan (wing-in-ground-effect) which is at the Monino Air Museum near Moscow.

  • the music sounds like something youl;l hear in the weather channel jaja

  • At 2:03 it looks like those crappy 3-fold paper airplanes I used to build when I was 5.

  • I like the pic at 1:07

  • Yak 17 2:47

  • 2:38 is that read?
