Man, I sure do miss the USAC days. The problem I have with Indycar is that all the cars are Dallaras, mostly Honda powered...no variety in machinery.

Rome wasn't built in a day. They are still working on ways to improve the series including talks with chassis and engine suppliers. What's in their way right now is the economic climate.

That may be, but when Tony George established The Indy Racing League to Take over USAC in 1995, that happened practically overnight to put us where we are now.

IRL announced on 4 Feb that proposed new engine rules would now be delayed a year from the original introductory date of 2010 because of the stagnant economy, and that turbocharged V4s are the most likely layout being considered.

@TECHKLEC Yeah, but atleast the people running it now can get the scoring right. USAC was fired from governing the series because they kept fucking up, see the 1997 Indy 500 and Texas races for some of their mad skills.
