There should be laws against any type of torture, but in special cases the President may choose to violate these laws; in these rare cases, actions should be public and he should take personal responsibility. It is dangerous to set vague guidelines for torture. Giuliani said that interrogators should use any means necessary- but not torture. What does that mean?

There should be laws against any type of torture, but in special cases the President may choose to violate these laws; in these rare cases, actions should be public and he should take personal responsibility. It is dangerous to set vague guidelines for torture. Giuliani said that interrogators should use any means necessary- but not torture. What does that mean?

I agree. Christianity and torture are clearly incompatible. Torture is incongruous with valuing others and the whole tenet of forgiveness and trusting in God's judgement...
But it is also worth noting that a good many Christians (nearly all in the UK for example) recognise this and find torture abhorrent...
