Hey there choro rockstar, nice playing :) I was watching Mike Marshall play the Bach Chaconne and YouTube suggested I check out your video. Keep on pickin' and grinnin'!
How did you get this converted to mandolin! Oh and het I just bought that the Epiphone MM-50 in a starburst color, isn't that the one you have just darker?? If so, that gives me hope that my mando will sound awesome with time! Great job!
I am an 11 year old boy who plays flute and whants to play the madolin.I am in 6th grade and are teacher gave us thhis song for band. For the flute it stsrts B flat then A then B flat then C then D then E then in the next mesure F 3 times.
This is awesome! :) If I could play a Bach piece that smoothly, I'd be pretty happy!
I love Bach's 'Sonata No.1 in B minor BWV1014-Adagio', and would love to do an adaption for my 7-string classical guitar!! The harpsichord's very last low 'b' note in the piece is exactly the low 'b' on my guitar, and I think it would be neat to figure out how to put the two parts together. :)
At some stage in my life, I swear I'll play this on a resonator mandocello, even if I have to make the bloody thing myself! I love the growling low notes on the cello in the original arrangement, and couple that with that wonderful echoey unique sound of resonator cone instruments... it's a winning combination!
Certainly you do not need to apologize that was a very fine performance -- missed notes are just fortuitous little signs of individuality! The Epiphone sounds very nice -- is this a model made by Epiphone of New York before they were acquired by Gibson?
Now you need to relax and have fun with the piece. You play very well but there is a feeling that goes with each piece. Now that you play it well, try to play it from your heart and soul, then it will be perfect!
You're very good!

Nice. I'm upgrading my mando and wanting to learn some Bach. This is a great tune; who did the transcription and what is your source? Thank you.

I think my favorite part about this video is the "Ugh gimme a break" facial expressions at 0:34 and 1:26. lol.

Wonderful. Well played.
But I think this "Bach" guy should know he's ripping off Led Zeppelin. What's his record label?
