This is from the movie "Romeo Juliet"... directed by G.D.L. Perera (1968). Father Merceline Jayakody was the author & Shelton Premaratne composed this song.

thanks Aruna for this correct information. As far as I know this may be the only song sung by Sunil Shantha to a music composed by some one else.

I think the name of the film is "Romeo juliet kathawak". The film had this song & one other song by Shelton Premaratne "Welitak thibuna" by Sarath Sandanayaka & chorus.
