Janes Combat Simulations doesnt exist anymore. EA bought it and then broke it down. EA destroyed Janes Combat Simulations. But Janes Information Group still exist. I still have my USAF, Fighters Anthology, Fleet Command, WW2 Fighters, USNF97, and F-15. I LOVED these games. I just wish it would come back. Playing FA online was some of the best online gaming Ive ever played.

I'm just playing USNF' 97 on Win XP 64-bit with core2duo. You need WinLauncherXP and Turbo, both free programs. You launch Turbo on one CPU core and slow it down and then launch USNF on the same core. Works great, I don't know about a keyboard issue, I plat it on my Logitech Extreme 3d pro and it works great :)

Interesting; I'm positive this was taken off of Fighter's Anthology... but it did have P.Mok's Delta mod on there as well... not sure if he changed it so that this played as well as the animated intro.

no, I guess Jane's decided to mix all the intros, though I don't see the original USNF intro, which IMO the best one, especially the music.

FA is mix of USNF and other game i think, can temember name.... so there was USNF intro too. I spend years on this game. Theres no way of remake. back in the times, janes got have to hire like - 20 guys for two years to make this, novadays its four years and 150 people to make game.

It's a mix of Advanced Tactical Fighters, Advanced Tactical Fighters - Nato Fighters, and U.S. Navy Fighters '97 :)

@OnskedromStudios Fighters Anthology was a combination of 3 games, ATF, ATF Nato Fighters, and USNF '97 and had all 3 game intros in it.

@OnskedromStudios This intro is from stock Fighters Anthology. It was one of the two intros that played alternately when you started the game.

I had USNF '97 too, but I can't remember if this intro was on that game as well. Anyone remember the original USNF (DOS) intro? That was boss.

@OnskedromStudios There's two intros to FA. I always skipped this one because it wasn't as cool as the main intro but in hindsight this one is pretty cool

Had it too. But runs weird on XP, alt least on my cpu - keyboard does not work realtime, theres arbitrary lag between pressing a button and action in FA, from zero to several seconds. Used to play with 714th mods. Years.

the game was made in conjuncture with EA, so we already know this game is fucked, no way its going to get remade. ea bought a sold Janes.

@1582atc The Jane's Information Group, or Intelligence Group, yes. It does not, however, contribute to any flight simulation games anymore. It collects data on world aircraft and weapons.

They need to remake this game. It'd rock. Do you have the NATO Fighters intro theme by chance? I remember loving that and even got the people at EA to email me the song. But I lost it years ago... :(

I never had NATO fighters - but I do have USNF 97, WWII Fighters, and ATF. I think....Pretty sure...

FA was the best, and yes, a remake would be terrific. Some better graphics, but not one's that bust the motherboard.
