the sword is not Iranian in origin actually, it's from the arabic culture. As a relief from Achaemenid period shows that the lion and sun never had any sword in it. Moreover, the bent sword is even more arabic.

@Iranian127 I dont care it has its far far origin from arab. Then our letters are arab too, although the style of persian writing is clear, even when you can not read persian.

It is the sword of Ali and it shows that we are not only a muslim but a shia country. Being shia seperated us from osmans and especisally arabs. It was kind of a defense.

The sword is arabic in origin, not Persian. A Lion is handicapped with a sword, he does not need one. For more information about this and complete set of proof read Naser Engheta's books.

Ali himself was an arab and murdered hundreds of Iranians, following such a person does not only make one arabic but many other things.

@Iranian127 Iran is an islamic country? Is it arab then?? Its islamic and shia, whether good or not. Iran has a lot of arab influence and vice versa. You have to get along with it, even if you dislike arabs. I m not really pro arab and also against more arabisation of our country, but its very annoying to here from some "intellectual" iranians "arab here, arab there" Long live Iran, her arayan people and Eslam!

Iran is not Islamic, the Islamic republic is Islamic, our culture is not Islamic. Islam is terror, lies, deceptions. Iran is bleeding because of Islam, it is our enemy not friend.
