this was based upon an incedent in 1987, in which the pennsylvania state treasurer, Fred Dwyer shot  himself in the mouth with a 357 magnum while giving a press conference, google it and you can see the video, really quite violent. But be warned, it really is quite graphic. After seeing it, this song really hits home, and filter could not have written a better song about the incident.

I already know that about myself...I take that kind of thing way hard. I won't watch something like that. I accidentally heard the beheading tape, on a public t.v. station, from when that one poor contractor kid in Iraq was held then beheaded on tape by, I think, Zarqauwi (spelling?) Just the sounds of complete horror were so disturbing that I had to talk to someone about it right away. A local Portland, Or. radio station played the tape. The calloused hosts were laughing at it..they got fired.
