That was not a legitimate squat. The top of your hip crease needs to be at least to level of your knee ("parallel") to be considered a squat. A box squat also doesn't count (and you're not even sitting on the box, just barely touching it!).
Keep your arms in close to shoulder width. One reason you can't squat deeply is because your upper back is too loose (among other reasons, like ego). Also, put some clamps on the bar. I can just see it slightly tipping one way and it all sliding off...

I didn't see a squat. I saw someone sit back onto a seat that was maybe 6 inches lower than his standing height. and stand back up. It was like a 1/8 squat but with a box. He's got good strength stability wise to be able to keep that kind of weight on his back, but that wasn't anything close to a parallel squat.
