  • @alfredosdesign Gracias amigo! do you have a demo reel? If so I would like to take a look at it.

  • @tek23ken mmm no yet... only test animations in my channel hehe

  • eso es muy bueno teba atraer muchos trabajos I LOVE YOU ;] esperoque agasmas demo en 3D buenasuerte oxoxoxooxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoox

  • Great work. But i think you have a few models in there that bring down the whole reel. It starts off awesome with a sick as robot and very detailed bug, but then its like oh.. the Luna truck is kinda cool. And after that everything is good but not great, I would probably put your best work last, and not so good first. And really keep the good models, don't want to bring the whole reel down with 1 not so good model. but its nice reel btw!

  • @hensun91 I appreciate your input. I agree, I am in the process of updating and cutting out alot of stuff on this reel, and replacing alot it with some of my new projects.

  • @hensun91 You're wrong though, he composed it perfectly. You're supposed to put your best work first and the less interesting last. This is because any employer would lose interest if he'd had to wait until the last minute to see something good. The first impression is always the most important.

  • @sketchBendik... Yeah I was always thought to put my best stuff first. Which is what i did. But I did agree with him about some of the stuff at the end needing to be left out. of this reel. Like the compositing shot. I do have a seperate reel for my compositing reel from my work on a few feature films I have worked on. The compositing shots on my vfx reel are much better. Check it out on my channel if you get a chance.

  • @tek23ken Going to have to disagree with both of you. I have a couple of friends in the industry and met many people to look at reels. If a potential employer looses interest, you are doing a few things wrong. 1. just to be blunt, your reel is shit, 2. you are putting work in there that isn't good just to make it longer. Quality over quantity. Think of a reel like a movie, you build up the climax so the viewer finishes watching on a positive note.

  • @tek23ken hey bro u r a modeler and an animator dont say your a generalist it makes it hard for you to get a job some1 might like it but only want spme one who is really good at 1 thing rather then a little good at everything

  • @sketchBendik Totally agree! Best work first. Most employers dont even watch the whole reel. So best work must go first.

  • The big robot around 0:30 is fucking awesome seriously, nice job

  • @blackdeathdragon123 Thanks alot bro.I really need to render out this entire demo reel in 1920x1080p HD. Because its losing tons of detail on this vid. I plan on updating this really soon. thanks again

  • so are you employed or what im wondering because im in school right now for it and i want to know how hard it is to land a job

  • All in all you are going to need a programmer to make it fly.

  • @Tomos17451 I agree, because I would rather not get into scripting so I could focus more on what I like to do. I am really trying to get a hold someone who knows there stuff.

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • @tek23ken Great demoreel! Oh and imo, CryEngine would be preferred over unity3d - even though the word out on unity3d is that its easier to get into. Personally id recommend also considering the Unreal Development Kit(UDK for short) - there are some seriously great environments demonstrating the potential of it here on YT. Give it a search:) Its also fairly easy to get into id say. Oh and its free untill its made you 50 thou or something, so trying it out isnt a problem.

  • What is the name of this song? Also, great reel!

  • Great reel dude. A lot of hard work I can tell. Love the fire crab and I would kill to see that town in an engine. Keep it up man!

  • @daylehodgsonfilms thanks man. I wish I knew how to place my stuff into a game engine. that would be awesome. I think it would be great to find someone, or even a team to work on a game project. I think it would help me land a job with a gaming studio fast.

  • @tek23ken -> cryengine3 is FOR FREE! for non comp... but you can make some awesome games with your 3d skills^^

  • @nosox96 thanks for the vote of confidence my friend. I know I can create the assets for a videogame, but since I have only had exp. with film studios, I don't full understand how to import and add controls to those asset in a game engine. thanks for the info about cryengine3. I have also hear about one called Unity 3D. Do you have any idea which is better? And have you had a chance to either engine?

  • @tek23ken I mean't to say: Have you had a chance to use either engine?

  • @tek23ken its more about preference, even udk (free version of unnreal engine 3) is a good option. not to hard to learn, taught myself a lot of stuff in a couple of weeks.

  • @CWScott24 thanks, yeah I want to get started on a project soon

  • @nosox96 I tryed to get it for free via I am a student.. but for some reason they said I couldn't because well I don't remember, because they are dick faces.

  • @prodigyset420 what did you try and get for free??

  • @tek23ken From there website. It was cry engine 3 though. It was a while ago. When the cry engine 3 came out.

  • @prodigyset420 you can get from the HP
