  • I was actually driving to six flags to get season passes when the sirens went off. We had to take cover in a six flags building for 30 minutes. There was buckets of hail and rain coming down.

  • i love how all of the people come outside to see it when they are supposed to be taking cover.

  • lol that's just a little funnel cloud, not a tornado yet. We get those all the freaking time here in TX.

  • longer and thicker.... TWSS.

  • Siren:GET INSIDE NOOOOOWWWW

People: * goes outside* ooh tornado!

  • I was working at Kings when this happened, they made me come in side.

  • Wouldn't you get in the basement or some sort of cover if a tornado was about to touch down instead of standing there LOOKING AT IT??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Awesomeman1908 not always. back in 2002 the sirens were going off and every thing, my brother, his girlfriend, a bunch of people who lived next door to us came to my house because we were the only one's with a bass mint, we were in the groge, the howl time, just feet away from the safty of the bass mint, AND there were funnel clouds all over the place, one right obove one of the lady's who was in the bass mint's house.

  • I seen the lighting- It looked like it was sparking the tornado out of the bottom.

  • @Cloudy011 I've seen that in alot of tornado vids where lightning seems to come out of the funnel. Probably either because there is more an area of friction or more likely closer distance to the ground from the funnel. I'm no expert but just a guess.

  • Lived in Castlerock back in 80's and frequent there still though I'm in Florida now. : ( Anyhow, everytime them sirens went off I was out and topside with a camera if possible. Sure do miss them days.

  • The tornado wanted to sneak up on people and scare them. But too bad for the funnel cloud, because the tornado sirens went off. XD poo funnel cloud, maybe next time you can touch down.

  • Fuck tornadoes, I want to live in Denver!!!!

  • 1:10 Thumbs If YOu Saw Lightning

  • this was 3 days after the hailstorm we had. Remember it like it was yesterday

  • funny how when a siren sounds, no one actually takes cover...

  • @balletbod1 In Texas when the sirens go on everyone goes out to look lol

  • I remember this.

  • It's getting longer and thicker. Giggity.

  • @tunaman1981 South Park or Family Guy ..LOL !!!

  • It takes 45 seconds for the NWS in Denver to look out their window and go, "Oh, crud!"??

  • DID THE TORNADO ACTUALLY TOUCH DOWN????

  • @missliteeyes22 No it didnt, my mom worked at Saint Joes Hospital when this happened, she still does and she and the news channel reported no touchdown

  • "there's the siren"

    no shit......... -_-

  • lol i love how you look down and EVERYONE'S outside! i take it you guys dont get too many tornadoes

  • nice that was a loud siren it sounds like a loud cow oh and by the way i would go outside 2

  • i love the lightning

  • Funny, I've studied tornados for a little while now. I used to be scared shitless of them. It's unusual, that it would begin to drop in Denver. First of all, Denver is in the middle of mountains. Second, tornados form in grassland, usually.

  • @JadedSketches Denver is on the eastern front of the Rockies, on the doorstep of Tornado Alley. Hence the presence of storm sirens. Denver is frequently placed under tornado watches in the spring. And Colorado is actually the state that sees the most tornadoes forming in the Rockies themselves because it's further south and is subject to the semiannual smackdown between summer and winter. Air over the Colorado Rockies is both moist and warm, and it gets forced upward quickly.

  • That was crazy.. It wouldve sucked balls if it dropped

  • puniest funnel cloud ever. are you apartments on cheesman? hilarious how everyone is leaning over their balcony as you panned down.

  • 0:45 i hear a Thunderbeam RSH-10 or 2001

    0:53 Thunderbolt 1003 and multiple 1000T`s

    1:01 all 1000T`s and 2001 DC`s

  • 0:30 That's What She Said.

  • I miss denver!

  • Good thing between the siren and the Chuck Norris stares from all your neighbors, you scared it away.

  • In Kansas when people hear there's a tornado coming, they look for shelter. In Denver when people hear there's a tornado coming, they grab their cameras and run outside.

  • ,,Blame it on the mountains.

  • I hate that siren >.< But this video has some great coverage!

  • We look in fear, when disaster does hit - we scatter like ants.

  • this was 3 days after we had that hailstorm on june 11 2009. -sigh- good times good times

  • 10 morrons who dont care if they die outside

  • OMG!!!! SCARY!!!!!

Be like "what's it mean?" LOL!!! (double rainbow guy joke)

  • OMG!!!! SCARY!!!!!

  • yeah here i am moved to commerce city a few months ago from Pennsylvania i have no clue what i am doing

  • haha "its getting longer and thicker"

  • your neighbor is hot

  • omg you live in one kickass aprtment

  • omg.. this makes me wish i was there

  • damn that was loud

  • in tornado alley the tornado sirens means look and watch then take cover when it's a few minutes away from you.

  • sirens scared it off

  • @troshs HAHA! =D

  • all those heads just popping out of the balcony made me lmaoo xd

  • @PeaceGirl198

Tornadoes are on the ground, Funnel cloud is the first stage.

  • haha the siron means to take cover and everybody is outside XD

  • Just drive up to the mountains that's what I do,may not be a smart thing to do but at least you'll live

  • You guys are obviously in an apartment complex. What do you guys do when there is a tornado? Do they have like a basement there at your complex?

  • It looks more like Independence Day.

  • that would have fucked up denver

  • the siren scares me lolz

  • I remember this, I was coming out of church when we saw that!

  • I remember this lol... I was on elitch gardens and people were freaking out like crrazy. SOme girls were even crying lol.... good times

  • @XxMaizelxX

    Hahahahahahaha!

    That must have been wonderful!

  • Not a funnel cloud.. a funnel cloud needs a wall cloud hanging out of the storm.. thats not even reaching the ground.

  • @AirRaider56 that is a funnel cloud.

  • at :44 the wite thing is the tornado siren

  • R u crazy lol?? A tornado is so not nice to look at even though I do like tornados but man do what the sirens say ;D then ull be safe which I knw u r man :)

  • lol I thought I got over my fears of tornadoes long ago, but when this day came, I got scared as shit and those fears came back.

  • lol... i can see where I work.... I was in springs during this following this storm

  • everyones outside wtf shouldnt they go to the basement i use to live in denver freaking siren is super loud

  • 0:31 That's what she said!

  • Dude says take cover, but he's outside to.

  • i remember that day acually i remember all of that summer i live in colorado too and i hated it when pretty much everyday there was tornados and i couldnt go swimming or horseback riding

  • i was in green valley when that happen...that warning came over there but there wasnt no funnel..but it got kinda dark outside and windy

  • Thats crazy. If thats your neighbor next door, I'd go and take cover with her. Hahahah jk. Very interesting. Here in Hawaii, we don't have tornados, although we do have a few water spouts once and awhile, but usually with no damage. We use the sirens here for tsunami warnings.

  • :31 and that's what she said

  • i saw that

  • Tornado warnings in Denver are usually as seen here. There is a funnel and no accompanying rain or wind. The supercell that passed over downtown in 1990 was an exception.

  • lol everyone watching it . if thats was me i would be running around like mad

  • there was the funnel cloud over the river by the minderacer at elitchs

  • lol @ all the people looking xD

  • Everyone is staring lol I would be too. Thats amazing how close it was to downtown.

  • @XxXUndeadLenoreXxX id take the bus towards the cloud and video tape the whole thing

  • I wish the video were longer

  • i was at elitches when this happened

  • Hahahaha everyone's outside. That was scary though. It looks like it's right above the capitol building.

  • the 2001 is louder then the 1000T.

  • thats because theyre closer to the 2001.

  • That's not a 2001, just so you know. That's a high-pitched Thunderbolt 1000.

  • And the Thunderbolt is single-toned at that.

  • I was about to post the same thing. It sounds a lot different from a 2001. You can also tell on wind-up it's a Thunderbolt.

  • "that siren generally means take cover" lol and everyone's outside. haha this was a great vid :)

  • Yowza... is that siren in your living room or something?

  • @calvinlotz i knw that siren was loud but when your standing out side it is so loud it sound like it is right in your face

  • @calvinlotz its up on top its sound like a 2001 or a thunderbolt

  • my two cousins were there and they got scared so much they went like nmg{no manches guey}

  • Comment removed

  • it was kool i was at elitchs that sunday when the sirens went off everyone went crazy lol but no one realy took action

  • damn I was scared that day, I saw it forming right outside my bedroom window. And there was another funnel forming right above where I live. (really close to Elitches and stuff), i'm glad it didn't touch down actually. I never expected to see a funnel form in the city EVER lol

  • thats sik yo DENVER CITY ! ! !

  • Wigger.

  • Great view!

The higher up the better the perspective.

Sorry I missed it in Littleton.

Where are you and where is the tornado siren?

    Thank you.

  • See that green hail core there near the funnel. Quite common.

  • Myy nephew was down at elitches when this happened and called us, with our sirens going off at the same time in Commerce City. Never thought I'd see a funnel downtown, though.

  • Shit was sketchy,. I was working at elitches.... like it was right above us. Their was actually three funnels forming

  • @ridekinkk i was there too lol

  • crazy,,thanks God nothing hapend.

  • Today was so fucking crazy huh?

Arvada's sirens sounded today and I was thinking, "Arvada has fucking sirens?"

I like ur comment on how sirens generally mean to take cover and ur all pokeing your heads out to see the damn thing. Keep it real man, nice vid.

Hopefully see some more extreme things maybe tomorrow? lol

But yeah, never knew Denver would see one of those anytime soon!
