If I had heard this version first, I don't think I think I would have flipped the station the second time. Thanks to Leona's version I love this song. I give him props for writing it but I think she breathed life into the song with her voice. Just my honest opinion.
Both versions are beautiful I personally like this bettter because I was a Jesse fan first an in my own words think Leona has much more beautiful songs that suit her like I see you and My hands. He has more feeling while she has more soul. However people please don't compare their versions together.
I think that both versions are good. But the sex difference makes it easy for both men and women to relate to it. Like im a girl and I can see myself relating to Lewis singing this because usually in life, its the girl who loves a guy but everyone esle won't let her love him. But the guys version is so romantic. Imagine a guy, showing his emotions like this, how everyone won't let him love a girl. (hmmm, or another guy).
I like "his" version better, I feel the emotion more here than in Leona's, her one felt a bit bland.

It was recorded for Jesse's cd "Departure" but his label didn't want it on the CD. So When Clive Davis heard Jesse's version, He contacted Jesse about Allowing Leona Lewis to record it. Jesse And Ryan Tedder Sold it to Clive Davis for Leona after Jesse's label rejected it

I like this!!! I didn't know that Jessie wrote and sing it first. I like this version better, but Leona has got an angel voice and she's one of my favourite singer.

you cant say this song doesnt suit jesse, it originaly his and woulda went on his album.. but he did say it needed female vocals and since leona just won x factor it was perfect timing! i myself prefer jesse's version :)

If I had heard this version first, I don't think I think I would have flipped the station the second time. Thanks to Leona's version I love this song. I give him props for writing it but I think she breathed life into the song with her voice. Just my honest opinion.

Both versions are beautiful I personally like this bettter because I was a Jesse fan first an in my own words think Leona has much more beautiful songs that suit her like I see you and My hands. He has more feeling while she has more soul. However people please don't compare their versions together.

I think that both versions are good. But the sex difference makes it easy for both men and women to relate to it. Like im a girl and I can see myself relating to Lewis singing this because usually in life, its the girl who loves a guy but everyone esle won't let her love him. But the guys version is so romantic. Imagine a guy, showing his emotions like this, how everyone won't let him love a girl. (hmmm, or another guy).
