@bergsteinlife - We have an 09 Taurus and an 04 Taurus. I can't speak for the new Taurus, but the older one we have has 100,000+ miles on it, and it's still running good like the day we bought it.

I dont understand why women dont know how to do this? you see how many endless amounts of streaming fail women parking and fail women driving is on the internet? I dont get it because you cant pass the road test to get your novice driver license. meaning if you have an N you have successfully parallel parked. How did those women ever score points to pass their road test for being alone in the parking lot with the marker sitting next to them???

Well even if they don't pass the test by not being able to parallel park they can drive on the roads now due to park assist so who cares really.

@justinwjsap Actually in about ten to 20 years from now driverless cars should hit the market...google test drove cars that drove themselves for 1000 miles with a single car accident...now all they have to do is wait for the tech to become affordable and for legislation to allow it to happen. Look up google driverless cars.

1 min n 10 sec. to park a car.. i can parallel under 40 seconds..flawless.

when i took my driving test..i didnt even go a mile far i took a 4 minutes drive around a neighborhood and back to the department..all im trying to say is if u cant park your car you cant be behind the wheel.. ive been driving since the age of 13 and at the age of 10 i was parking vehicles in my fathers dealership and at home.

I remember the Lexus bragging about this feature a few years ago. They state you need two car lengths wroth of space to make it work. Clearly (from this video) ford's par assist is better.

I've used Ford's Active Park Assist in an Escape before. it can be quite scary to some people to watch that wheel whip around, and all your controlling is the gas and brake. though I do have to agree, if you can't park you car, maybe you shouldn't be driving.

hope all of you remember that if that park assist feature ever accidentally bumps another car...the vehicle won't be ticketed and pay for damages to the other car...YOU WILL BE THE ONE TICKETED AND PAY DAMAGES because ultimately YOU are responsible for the vehicles movements, not the park assist feature.

@badkittie its not comepletely controlled by the car lol it just steers and tells you how much gas to give it, you also press the button to go forward and backward :)

What an interesting way to make for years of making unreliable low quality cars. I've had 3 Ford sedans, all 3 featured the chronic Check Engine Light.

@coldhandshake it is the owner not the car. I never had the check engine light come on, ever, and I got 4 Fords. Maybe you should learn facts, Ford has the BEST quality of any automaker.

I have a used car that has over 350k on it. Had another one previosly with over 435k on it. Maybe you aren't maintaining them properly? A new car going "at least" 200k is pretty terrible, should be getting twice that?!  I also live in Canada, so no excuses about the climate--this is pretty rough for a vehicle.
