Cuz they are confident. Loose trucks are fun to skate on. the tighter the scarier cuz ur less able to avoid obstacles and sketchy situations. Basically have some cajones and confidence in yourself and your set up. If you dont have that then u shouldnt be on that specific hill.

@condoms180 haha. Pure skill man. I have met people that have trucks so loose the kingpin is falling out and a guy that runs grombiz trucks with no bushings. And my kingpin doesnt go all the way through the nut. Its all about not having nervous ankles. Thats the real cause of speed wobbles.

The landy board is being used because that person isnt sponsored by loaded landyachtz or anyone. That is just a board that he rides. Thats why I love DH skating compared to trick skating. Average joes get to skate with the pros just with a phone call.

Last sunday I've ridden with a longboarder that have lot of skills, he's doing IGSA and riding very fast. But man, he always had fun though he waited us all the time. Longboarding is not about competition, it's just about having fun.

it's just his speed stance. it's stabler. but what i thought was funny is that his back leg is also so far forward. i couldn't do that because to me it seems the closer your legs are together in a speed stance the harder it is to balance... and i am nowhere near as skilled as pilloni. but yeah most people have a wider stance than him.

The answer is there are plastic pucks on the gloves that let you slide your hands on the ground for added safety, stability, and maneuverability.  Google "slide gloves"

its not as simple as that dude, the apex 34as a board only is not massivly different to the dervish but its the combination with he original trucks on the apex that make it so different. if you can handle loose randall/holey trucks then your good with a dervish or dancer, but if u fancy something that emulates surfing and snowboarding but is now capable of doing higher speeds and dancing like a dervish then get the apex. the apex 37 is a sweet ride on original s8 trucks!

big DH (actually DH in general) seems so exhilirating but I am way too chicken to do most of it. I can only take light DH and MAYBE medium DH. I'm sure I can do medium but it's an issue of balls! I'm just a beginner though, so who knows where I'll decide to take my boarding. I'm thinking tricks/light DH/slides/cruising. I have a dervish flex 1! Love it.

Secondly they dont get speed wobble and that it due to at the beginning you see the guy tightening the trucks this helps prevent it. as well as years of experience
