  • Nice lesson. Thanks

  • super cool ,are you playing in thirds?

  • Do you have a functinonal link for tablature ? (this one doesnt work)

  • Probably my favorite arpeggio is the G7 arpeggio. It's a very happy sounding arpeggio that begginers should try.

  • @trentonbabb1996 Why G7 as opposed ti, say, A7?

  • I don't know what these diminished stuff is, so I would really appreciat a link to a site / video where I can learn everything about sweeping and the patterns.

    thanks

  • I swear to god, im going to hunt down and kill, whoever decided to put these damn advertisements before the videos.

  • @MesopotamianGaurdian No i played its supposed to sound like that

  • @MesopotamianGaurdian The click was added afterwhile. I kept the off beat click to add a little original effect but the video editor messed it up at the rendering... It is very tuf to synchro perfect...

  • thnx buddy i ll work on it.....

    thnx a lot.......

i think its bcoz of ma guitar.....its strings r not close enough to play fast i think......n wen i try to do so it doesnt sound well i hve to buy a new guitar i think... which guitar do u use buddy.....???

  • what kind of guitar you workin with buddy?

i prefer Ibanez or Jackson, dean razorbacks are sick to there all good for fast playing...

  • i hv a gb&a strat guitar........

  • hmmm those are pretty good depending on where you got it and how much you paid for it haha

try and get the frets scallopep if anything...it will make shit alot easier and feel way faster...

  • not necessarily. just keep practising it'll happen. some people take one month to get it, some 6 months.. just keep at it and you'll be pro in no time.

  • where in india are you? if you're in bangalore i dont mind you can come over ill help you out with it.

  • no budy i live in shimla (h.p.) well thnx anyways.....

    i think i need a new guitar n m plannin 2 buy one........

  • hey when i play any arpeggio

i hit every note but wen i release ma finger lets say i released 3rd string n continuing down 2 2nd the third keeps on ringin n it makes really a bad noise n arpeggio doesnt sound clean n cool......

any body tell me how to control this thing.....

this is bcoz of ma guitar effect??

    help

  • can't really help without actually hearing it, you might not be pulling your 3'rd string finger off fast enough, so it ends up ringing out

try playing it clean without any distortion, slowly and controlled, just like every intro video says (its dumb but it works).

is this for like, sweeping style arpeggios? or paul gilbert style arpeggios? im talking sweeping, don't even get me started on paul gilbert's shit, most people cry in the face of his amazingness

  • Metalmixer,

there are 2 things you have to pay attention to:

    1) focus on lifting your fingers in the direction 'away' from the fretboard, not downwards, as it may produce those little pull-offs. Lift them only a bit so that the string stops touching the fretboard, then you may change the string you are pressing

    2) use your right hands palm to mute every string after you pick it. It applies only when you do the downward sweep.

    Hope this helps, Cheers!

  • thnx buddy i will surely do ths......

can u tell me how much does it took u 2 play em clear n fast.....???

  • hard to say... I'm sure that if you practice focusing on what i've written, separating each note by raising the fingers off the fretboard and muting the strings with your palm, you'll be suprised by the results faster than you think::) Practise at low tempo, cheers!

  • isnt a diminished just 4 notes with 3 pitch intervals inbetween them??

  • correct!!!

  • dude screw him man you have helped me so much i learnt yngwie malmsteens fire and ice from you and you are awsome dude i am ordering your dvd right now as i write this thanks again

  • bitch

  • lol you can totally tell Jeff Loomis (Nevermore) uses the diminished scale like ALL the time.

  • Arrrrg ....I wanna know EVERY scale of every type & kind there is to know :p Im gonna be 90 still learning.

  • if you really want to know every scale (impossible some are so very synthetic) at least the known standards,, download GUITAR ALCHEMIST its free and has every scale, mode, chord, and their combo's and what they work with.. it also plays the scales/modes/chords.

  • love ur lessons :P

  • i like how you have the tabs in the courner it so easey thank you

  • What makes these particular arps diminished? I dont quite get the terms although i know the patterns for them.

  • it uses small fourths if i am not totally wrong

  • its a scale built from all b3rds theres only 4 notes in the scale 1 b3 b5 6, any not can be considered the root..

  • I get destroyed with the picking T_T.

  • nice exercise...
