@johnball235 After viewing your profile, I can see why you would think so. Then again, it appears that you are young and have no children. If you travel overseas with young children some time in the future I would love you to revisit your thoughts on this.
@johnball235 Well, it would have remained valid, except you decided to be offensive and call me quite a nasty name because I don't agree with you. So now you just come off as juvenile.
@TalStrul When you're packing for a family of four that includes a baby and a toddler, this is quite light. Now that my girls are bigger I should re-do the video.
@TalStrul totally agree with you when i travelled with my husband and my son we only had a small duffle bag smaller than her carry on case. which included a party outfit and shoes for each of us.
Great lesson on how to pak ’’ But has anybody thought of the restrictions they have on hand baggage’’ In Europe they start from 6 Kg to max 10 Kg and only one item and that can be a lady’s handbag this bag looks likes it full ’’ ant now the hand bag’’ if you can’t fit into the bag’’ your bag has to be checked in at a charge off up to € 35 why not do as I’ve done; and purchase a Jaktogo great invention they can’t do anything about it can save money and time ‘’
yeah, this isn't light packing in my book. But it is *considerably* less than families I see at airports with huuuge check-in bags AND loads of carry ons. Families with kids usually go to resorts / hotels, they don't need to move around a lot once they get there: The balance between mobility/lightness and versatility/heaviness shifts.
I'd rather take a bag of heavy toys, than be stuck on a plane with bored kids.
This is a good way to pack moderately for a family holiday- Thanks for sharing.
I'm curious how this works logistically. How do you carry all of those bags? I assume your children each carry their own bag, and that leaves you with five amongst the two of you. Assuming you can carry two bags each, that still leaves the big one?
I'm sorry, I'm not being critical here, my brain is just trying to figure out how that would work.
We only checked 3 bags, the other 4 were carry ons. My daughters each handled their carry ons and the others we piggybacked together. My husband had the large rolling bag, a smaller rolling bag & his carry on and I handled a small rolling bag and my carry on- as well as the two kids.
the idea with these jumbo bags isnt bad at all. i never wanted to do this b/c it just looked stupid but this is just an amazing idea. thanks for uploading this video!! :)
Is your daughters name Brenna? I thought that's what you said. If so, that's also my name! (:

@G00700279 You don't mention your destination or how long you were traveling. That would be very helpful information to add!

7 bags for 2 adults and 2 children is packing light?
I'd hate to see what packing heavy is like!

Since all but one were carry on size, one held a car seat and my kids were 3 and 1- yes, that is packing light for an overseas trip.

Piggybacking! Thanks, that makes sense.

I like the idea of using the space bags. What do you do on your return flight? Don't you need a vaccuum to suck the air out of the bag?
akarockstar8 2 years ago
All the Space Bags I use to travel are the type you roll and push the air out of.
iatraveler 2 years ago
BEWARE! Nowadays, airlines are charging not just for overweight, but overSIZED bags as well. And we're talking fees up to $175 per bag (United).

None of the bags I use are oversized. That's why I call it packing light! :)
