  • I live in the UK, and Balisongs are illegal, full stop, over here. Even getting a trainer through customs would be difficult, as it could be considered an attempt to manufacture one by sharpening the blade. Found this video, went on to google, and i'm now buying one of these from BladeHQ. Thank you so much!

  • BladeHQ is selling them. dunno if its the same company but for what its worth.

  • I NEEED A BOTTLEFLY

  • @randomkirbydanceman trainers have only one sharp side. the others have a double edged blade and are illegal in almost every state

  • @971759 Trainers have NO sharp edge, Balisongs usually only have one edged blade. That is why there is a bite handle; the one that will bite you. (as opposed to the safe handle)

  • Nothing says intimidating like "Bottle Opener"...

  • can you sharp that ??

  • There's a made in China version of these on the internet not for about 10 bucks - it's decent, but you need to constantly tighten the screws if you flip it.

  • this is good if you want to test tricks without harm yourself

  • they sell thoses on amazon but without the colors

  • It would be fun to bring one to school but....

  • nice for training!

  • I may get one of those. My friend Aaron has one.

We were down at The Keg with Kendra and Alyssa, and he orders a Corona. He pulls out his bottlefly to open it, and everybody screams and security's on his ass. After he explains what it is, they let him go. Poor Aaron.

  • budk has them for like 12 bucks

  • if anyone can find one for sale pm me pleasssssssssssss

  • @sammyssb try roadside imports

  • If they made this illegal then shouldnt other bottle openers of this size be too? I mean a stick will do as much damage as the bottlefly.

  • this is avalible for purchase

  • So... ill order some vodka please? Russian standard?

  • balisong is from the philippines

  • made famous, most known from, and still used in ther Philipines as part of the Filipino cutlure, but originated and created in France...

  • @cutlerylover yeah it is originated at france like what you say but the butterfly knife or the balisong is used in the philippines for more than a century, the word balisong comes from the philippines...

  • @cutlerylover thats why the spy has one in team fortress 2 makes sense now

  • @cutlerylover So THATS why The spai has a balisong. O_O btw do you have TF2?

  • @cutlerylover Philippines FTW!!!

  • @cutlerylover actually in spain

  • @cutlerylover the question is if france created the balisong how did it get to the philippines?

  • @cutlerylover can you still find these? if so, around how much are they, i gotta have one.

  • @krazy4knives Yes you can. I found it on roadsideimports for $9.99

  • @cutlerylover o.O the balisong is french?

lol i thought it was either japanese or from the philippines

  • @cutlerylover the first balisongs were a french invention, but butterfly knives are from the philipines (balisong neighbourhood), because its use and technique was developed over there. in my opinion its a way of simplifying things like saying the spanish discovered america instead of thinking about evolution and say that africans were the first to populate it. and i know, this explanation might be a bit dumb XDDD but it works...

  • @MyLovelyHomicide First of all, the Africans were not the first humans to populate America sice Africa and America had drifted apart long before the human evolution had managed to produce somthing similare to a modern human. America was first populated by North-Eastern Asian tribes that crossed the land bridge between modern-day Russia and Alaska. Secondly, even then the spanish weren't the first to discover America, since the viking had done it almost 500 years earlier.

  • @ShittyGarfunk yeah whatever.. all are theories, man. read about the olmecs and you will probably delete your own comment...

  • @MyLovelyHomicide No they are not theories, they are proven facts.

  • @ShittyGarfunk i was refering to the olmecs. i see you still havent read about them...

  • @MyLovelyHomicide Oh yes, I know very well who the olmecs were.

  • @idolbrian02 owned

  • @idolbrian02 the oldest balisong and its bluprints were found in france

  • im form sturgis wooo

  • anyone ever ordered one into aus nsw ? pretty sure there not illegal to order..

  • can someone please tell me, is this legal in australia.

  • i don't see how it could be viewed as anywhere close to a knife or danger, but I'm not sure

  • Depends where you are in Australia. I am in Victoria and knife laws are very very strict. In Victoria you must apply to the police for a prohibited weapons permit to buy, own and store such a weapon (and many many others). HOWEVER there is one store in Melbourne which is currently selling the bottle opener balisong. IF you are really really keen on learning more check out the AKC guild (google it).

They have all you need to know about this stuff in Australia. Good luck..

  • Btw the bottle opener balisong is legal in Australia. I wouldn't bother though because I remember how fun a real balisong was in the 1980's and I would get frustrated with a bottle opener balisong. Balisong have been illegal in every state in Australia bar WA (I think) for nearly 20 years (omg has it been that long?!).

  • thanks, your comment really helped.

    -ranter

  • This should be legal anywhere in Australia. i don't know where to get this exact one but i know you can get one of these at global gear fairly cheap

  • i wonder if there is a fork version of a balisong.

"butterfly fork" and "balifork" dont seem to have any good results on google.

    i might make one

  • They still sell these on a website with the US flag and Flame detailing.

  • d(-0-)b nice

  • Lol nice

  • Lol nice

  • i would get this and make the bottle opener into a knife

  • lol? this does really exists? i've seen this in a Ad where Stephen Chow used it to open a Beer^^

  • Wow, thia maybe actually be legal in new York , awesome.

It should be as legal as the benchmade balisong USB, or the baliyo pen.

  • Balisong USB sounds freakin' awesome 0_0

  • Yeah, Cutlerylover has a reveiw of it somewhere.

Sadly its pretty small, and the handles are plastic.

  • Ah, could be that I've seen those before... Can you call that balosing? lol, maybe I'm mistaking. Gonna check it out, thanks!

  • I want this, since Balisongs are illegal where I live :(

  • why dont u order a baliyo?

  • I just ordered a BaliTrainer about 2 days ago. I'm expecting it soon :P

  • haha me too!

  • same bro

  • Yah, where I live, too... I made one of paper - Extreeemely satisfying XDDD

  • This is what I'd practice moves with, if not a trainer.

  • SPAH IS CREDIT TO TEAM

  • i cant wait to get mine i orded it today hope it dont take long cause i want to mess with it.

  • For those of you who are looking for a bottle opener like this, go to budk for it. They have them pretty cheap but S&H is a bit pricey. But it is decent, looks more like a traditional balisong, and it is the reason I'm watching this fellows channel so I can learn some techniques without losing too much blood.

  • I looked at the one they had at Budk, but does it close all the way? From the image they posted, it looked like the "balisong" handles don't come together nicely cause the bottle opener portion is too wide and they didn't widen the handles. Can anyone confirm this?

  • Here is the great irony, it does "close" all the way because there are slits in the handles for the head of the opener to go between and thus the handles to come together. However opening and locking it is another story. But still good for the price of the item.

  • 2 Questions, 1. Is it legal in all 50 states? 2. Are you selling it?

  • Very Very nice tricks.. respect man !

  • Anyone have other ideas where to get a good bottle opener balisong?

  • my god.......... i love it. now thats a balisong i could use more often

  • thats cool. be great for parties

  • spah sapping mah bottle!

  • lol tf2 freaks...

  • waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw its gooooooooooooood

  • Thats sick i want one

  • anyone know if these would be legal in australia??

  • lol its just a bottleopener

  • Don't see why not.. its a bottle opener

  • I'm not sure, but Balisong are illegal in Canada, and the bottlefly is Legal in Canada so its PROBABLY legal there. its just a bottleopener :/ anyway i bought one, and tried to get it from the origional site, which dosnt sell them anymore. i bought mine from assistedknife (this isnt spam, im trying to help him :| ) but if you google it im sure theres lots of sites, like knifezilla that sells them :D

  • This makes me wish I still tended bar. The flash could bump tips for sure.

  • if you look on most flair bartending websites, theyll have these for sale so you wouldnt have to buy direct.

  • i want to get one and sharpen it

  • comprate n coltello vero

  • i have one right now and there great for poeple who dont want to get cut like me :P

  • you can also get a trainer which looks more realistic

  • i could just imagine getting hit in the face with that thing...

doctor: "how did he sustain a concussion?"

friend: "he got hit in the head with a bottle opener. moron."

  • lol... nice

  • lol nice how long have you been flipping? and if the pins loosen could you like take a hammer and tap it so tha t it wont be loose anymore?

  • WHERE TO GET THAT !!??

  • you can get one from trueswords(dot)com for 9.99 + S&P

  • I bet you this is a really safe way to practice tricks

  • thats wat i was thinking

  • it would probbably be really big and heavy to try to practice with it - i wouldnt try it

  • trainers are for that lol

  • yes but a good trainers go for at the very least 30 to 40 bucks.

  • @capitalsown so's a trainer...

  • LOOOOOOOOL

    very useful for fool

  • i dont have any videos because my computer just got back from shop and now it wont dowload my disc for my camera but ill tell u when i do

  • you should sharpen the edge

  • Anyone know of a vendor that sells one of these and can ship to canada? I know assisted knives sells them but they're not what i'm looking for (looks wise). They seem pretty cheap at 15.00, bad quality?

  • to my knowledge their actually good quality

  • knifezilla(.)com thats prolly the best place to start

  • where can you buy one of these the original website dosent work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • try ebay

  • u can still get these at assistedknife /roadside imports com. they have vids on here also :)

  • What is the trick @ 2:27 called?

  • I belive it is arial, but since i live where balisongs are illigal and can't use them, i'm not sure.
