As a fan of the persona series, I gotta admit, this game doesn't look too bad so far. I'm all for the horror element it looks like it might have. The music I've heard in the othher trailers sounds top notch so for Shin Megami Tesnsei's first HD game, I think we might have a winner.

Atlus also needs to brush up on their 3D engine. Lip synching isn't good, animations are shoddy, weird facial expressions practically lifted from anime even though they DON'T WORK IN 3D.

I'll be honest though, the gameplay doesn't look like much to write home about. It's a puzzler with visual novel elements. I think this is one to experience for atmosphere and story.

@Edgehead1132 Usually SMT/Persona games have fairly similar gameplay (bar Devil Summoner 2) so I doubt that there will be a gameplay system horrifically different from Atlus' other similar titles. On the other hand, the series and its similars is known for its visual designs and plot. This trailer drives that home. I dunno if you're familiar with that branch of Atlus' games but this trailer says what it needs to say pretty well if you ask me.

I have pretty much figured out the idea of the game... you yourself have to avoid death and maybe as you find out of friends or people you know that also have cheated on their women, you have to save them... ina some kind of dream world, kind of like tartarus in P3 or the tv world in P4. Maybe that's the so called "Nightmare" phase of the game.
