  • Hmm://

  • Poor horse!!!!!

  • I commented on this in the past a couple of years ago.. recently found this video again.. and saying.. I finally learned how to ride.. Im still roughly 250 pounds.. and I ride a 14.3 horse in lessons.. and im buying my first horse which is a thoroughbred.. so horse size isn't anything.. its the build and strength that matters

  • the rider is fine. the camera person? uh retarded! And for those bitching about rider skills, how come i was able to gentle a 9 year grey arab with less skill and common sense/patience when cody cowboy got thrown off and gathered his crap and said bad horses are waste of time. I say so are stupid horse know it alls.

  • damn people relax..... not everybody is striving to ride in the Olympics. The guy rode a horse, had fun, he doesnt need bloody online youtube lessons. If he's interested in bettering himself as a rider, I'm sure he'll contact an instructor... would it be great if EVERYBODY who rode was amazingly good? Yes, but not goin to happen, so let him enjoy himself and stop moanin. As for the person in the video - hope you had a good time, nice to see somebody havin a go at it and hope you kept it up.

  • first off keep ur heels down! losen on his mouth u jack ass... u cant squese him and expect him to go when ur pulling on his mouth and sit up straight and put ur elbows in ur a sucky rider take lessons and preferbly not on a stallion dumby!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow when i first read this ''Big guy riding Lipizzaner horse with no horseriding skill" i immidiately tought; Okay this will immidiately turn into a disaster thats for sure...*clicks for the fun of watching someone falling off*

and wow im impressed!! As much as the guy sucks at it like totally, hey he didnt fall!!! 8D

    *claps* congratulations~!

By the way... beautiful horse such a shame on it to get ridden on such a crap. tsk tsk...

  • wow...

  • how about the camera person

  • poor horse...

  • That kind of stuff, should NOT be in the mouth of a horse if the human on his back is just a beginner!! Very dangerous for both of them and could scarve a horse for life!! This kind materials should only be handled by humans who know what they are doing.

  • doesn't look to bad I guess if he doesn't try alot of galloping and jumping he can use the horse to learn the basics.

I didn't know lippys can be 14:2 hands too, I thought they were all at least 16 h.

? much is 115 kg? I weigh 260 and I would ride tht horse but only for my lessons not buy one or make it carry me for hours on end. I would get a stout horse with heavy bones in legs shortish back and biggish feet.

    RRRR

  • The fantastic thing about Lipizzans is their strength. Though they are generally short (some reach about 16hh, but most are around 14.2-15.3hh), they are quite athletic (think airs above the ground). Though the riding gear is sketchy, we ALL had to learn how to ride, and probably weren't much better than this. And really, his posture isn't so bad. He'll learn how to use reins correctly. He'd probably be more comfortable on a bigger horse, but a Lip can carry him.

  • idiot. i lol-ed at this.

  • i'm actually kind of jealous in a way I'd kill to ride a horse like that, Im roughly 250-260lbs, and even thought that lip is on the smaller side they can now be up to about 16 hands, so the one I will eventually own will be able to carry me, and people are so mean, you try being my weight and wanting to learn to ride, everybody makes you feel like a criminal, what is everybody in grade school, and has to make fun of everybody to make themselves feel better.

  • I either ride in boots or bare feet :P

And lets try poking him in the back with a stick and pull on his hair and see what he does?

Very kind horse to put up with that

  • who would let that guy ride that horse? he's clearly too big, not wearing proper foot wear and he clearly doesn't know what he's doing (as stated in the info section).

  • Saddles too small for him. Try western Big guy, and maybe a bigger horse. But good try.

  • haha :D

  • beautiful horse! -_- not so beautiful rider....o.o

  • It's rather obvious that if you poke the flanks with the legs and pull the reins at the same time, the horse doesn't understand just what it's supposed to do. Boots or no boots.

  • that poor horse....imagine being put through that...

  • if the horse cared that much, it wouldve bucked him off!!

  • bleehhhhh!!!! very bad rider

  • whats the matter with riding in trainers if theyre done up correctly and the laces are tucked in?? i ride like that if i cant be bothered to ride in boots with a hat all the time!! especially in summer!! no hat and no boots is so much more natural i think. only competition practise and the comp itself i think you should wear proper. :)

  • the prob with trainers is that they tend to be wider than boots, which can lead to them being caught in the stirrup, and the grip also is going to stop your foot from sliding out of the stirrup easily. The best and safest are boots, but if you are going to ride in trainers, its actually safer to leave the laces undone, very loose, and then tucked in. This way, if the shoe does jam in the stirrup, your foot will just slide out.

  • yeah exactly!! thats how i ride!!

  • Its cause trainers have no heel so his foot could slip right through the stirrup so if the horse suddenly bolted his trainer would get stuck and he would be dragged along the floor

  • i know that im not that stupid but if you were to ride with your heels down in the first place then your shin would block your leg from going through the stirrup. ive been on horses that have bolted with me like that plenty of times and ive had no problem!!! just need to learn to ride wearing trainers just like you need to learn how to ride with a new pair of boots.

  • Its much safer for you to wear boots, a friend of mine has been riding for 6 years she thought that trainers wouldnt be a problem until her foot went through the stirrup & she was dragged along the floor with her horse at full gallop i saw it with my own eyes & if i hadnt gone infront of her horse to stop him he would of jumped the jump up ahead & her leg would probaly of been ripped off and all because she wasnt wearing the correct footwear she always rides with boots now

  • well thats what you've seen isnt it and to be honest it's my choice at the end of the day. if i want to ride dangerously i bloody well can!! im fed up with the way people on here tell other people the way to ride!! its like saying "you MUST wear a body protector at all times" when really hardly anybody on this planet wears them at all.

  • calm down im just saying whats safer youre just making it into a big argument its just incase anyone is reading these comments like kids and your going about saying that its fine to wear trainers? and i agree bodyprotectors are annoying and uncomfortable

  • im not actually trying to get into an argument...you were just trying to get me to wear boots by telling me that story about that girl lol. i was just peed off cuz its like persuasion. also, if its for kids, im pretty sure that wherever they ride they'll learn it lol.

  • oh no im not persuading just saying lol and yeah i was only telling you what could happen to you as it happened to my friend it was a pretty scary experience =S !

  • are you sick or .. manege's have not for not a limit, and that is 80/85 kg. he is115 kg .. sorry but i don't understand you

  • you have to take some cameralessons

    the ride was too long

  • poor guy, people dont make fun of him!

i bet i was a pony, actually, i am SURE it was a pony, so like dont make fun of him,

  • Oh no, this is a pure Lipizzaner!

And of course we can make fun of him.

Big guy is a big joke!

    Trust my word :D

  • i bet it was a small one! Its NOT right to make fun of people! sorry i dont trust you AT ALL, i believe your lieing,

the poor guy, people sayin hes fat big, overweight! Poor guy, i repeat

  • @atengaflus

Actually, Lipizzaners are quite small. The correct height for a Lippi is between 14 hh and 15.3 hh.

I used to ride a 14hh Lippi, he LOOKS bigger, but definitely a pony!

  • He's not that bad, he got a side pass outta him. Although, his stirrups are far too long, his heel is awful and sneakers a nono. But, he is at the girth. He needs work, but he isn't horrible. :}

  • I think the camera person needs some camera skills.

  • whay do they let him rid whitt so scharp "bite"

  • if what you are trying to communicate is "why do they let him ride with such a sharp bit" I would reccomend learning a little more English first.

  • omg!! he is cra and yes what an amazingly patient horse to put u with that!! 1. he was pullng on the reins AFTER the horse had stopped 2. he was pulling on the riens AND asking the horse to go on so the poor hosre gets so confused...

  • Okay, im just asking:S and no im not going to learn more english just becuse of that:S puckade lilla cpe barn^^

  • what!?

  • nejmen så får man väl inte säga lilla vän, cp är en sjukdom! >:( (tror jag) to understand this, please use google translator.

  • wow, what a good and honest horse to put up with such crap.

  • The guy rides like crap xD

  • holy crap! does make him look like a pony

  • Lipizzaner horses are sooo intelligent. I once arranged a rider for an wner of a stallion (Pluto). The stallion was 1.57 meters high and the rider 1,90 meters. One would think he'd be too tall, but these horses have wide chests and can carry a tall rider.

The rider later bought the horse and took it to Holland and cmpetet Grand Prix dressage. Then sold the horse many times more in price.

Good PR for a breed often discriminated outside the Spanish Ridingschool of Vienna.

  • beautiful horse.

i dont think hes too big. my friends are about 5'-5'5 and they ride mini ponies all the time. im 5'4 and i used to jump a mini over 2'6. he did fine. this is about the same just at a larger scale.

  • wow. your really shouldn't ride minis, let alone jump them 2'6! Thats bigger then the mini, your going to kill their backs and legs! Have some common sense!

  • ...its not bigger than the mini. he's fine. if it "killed their backs and legs" he wouldn't jump it. teddy o'conner jumped jumps bigger than him all the time and no one said that karen didn't have common sense.

  • I work at a farm and we ride minis. They are fine we dont ride and jump them. But we do ride them.

  • unfortunately i had to turn my head to see rite

  • Hey, at least they gave him a helmet. What a nice kind babysitter of a horse.

  • man, id kill to ride a horse like that.oh and people, the peso obviously hasdnt ridden much, in fact id be surprised if this wasnt his first ride, so obviosly he hasnt ridden this horse too much before

  • this video seems to be depicting a ride by someone on a horse for the first time, or maybe one of the first times. The horse seems to be too nice to be a beginner lesson horse, so I am guessing this is a boyfriend or husband video on the woman's horse?

He's too big for it obviously, though a little walk around like this is probably not too harmful. If he wants to keep riding a more size appropriate horse could be found. Lots of the big ones are very gentle.

  • haha i like how u said bf or husband cause that would be my bf riding. lol

  • Umm, I take exception to your comment about the man being "too big" for the horse and a "walk" not being "too harmful." my partner rides dressage and jumps and he does it on a 14 hand tank of a quarter pony.

  • It does look like the horse is laboring under his weight. The guy does have a huge gut. If he was taking lessons, the lesson people really should have a few draft horses around to deal with fat people taking lessons. Its not the fat guy's fault if he's new to riding.

  • he is big for the horse but doing very well for riding the first time

  • lol i noticed - but it annoys me when people realy get assholish to some people riding. Making fun in a joking manner in one thing but full blown insults an nastyness isn;t ever called for ^_^ an yea he did look funny XD I have to deal with prety nasyc omments constantly with mine an my bf's horse vids i have posted

  • ok first off after reading most the comments.. you jack asses are pathic for commenting teh way you are. you should feel ashamed for how your postin.

There is NOTHING wrong with this.

now on to the beter part of this

Beautfiul horse, i was able to see the Lipizzaner's when they came here localy long time ago they are georgious horses. I envy the rider here for his oppertunity.

Don't let the ass holes here be discouraging!

  • I don't see anything wrong with this. He isn't even fat. and how is he hurting the horse. Its called he is taking lessons probaly. I hate it when stupid people put these videos up think they are better than everyone so then they pick on some one! Those people bug me!

  • if i see this guy around i will shoot him. then steal the poor horse, and take it to someone who actually cares about it, then to put a 3 billion pound piece of crap onto it.

  • okay. why the crap would you videotape this and not tell the guy he is hurting the horse. it's almost cruel. heck. it IS cruel!!

  • y would u video tape this and not tell the man to stop pulling on the poor horses mouth!

  • I know this guy who's just a head and a spring, and he did way better than that guy.

  • BUCK HIM OFF, Poor horse.. BUCK HIM OFF!!!!

  • maybe someone should explain to him that the horse won't go if your telling it to stop at the same time!

  • wow.

why is this guy riding this horse??

  • To hurt it's back obviously.
