  • I guess If Hitler or Stalin gave an invite it would be wrong and insulting not to take them up on it. .

Oh and please don't do the old "what are you comparing Hitler and Stalin to Obama routine".If Bush invited Thomas he would have attended.I guess the guy in this video is a mind reader.

  • @roger860 Enough of this. I don't get into insult exchanges here, and my last comment was an error on my part. Your comment is removed, and you're blocked because I don't have the feeling your capable of commenting without insult. Good bye.

  • It doesn't matter who sits in the oval office, the president is merely a mouthpiece for the criminal elites. All the other members of the Bruins should be ashamed of themselves for being in the company of this professional sellout. Zennie you are one serious brainwashed fool.

  • @roger860 And so are you.

  • “Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.”

    ― Thomas Jefferson

  • RamboRepublican, it was a team event. I realize your point, but at the same time, he's still the President and you have to respect that even though you don't like the guy. Even the Bruins are upset, because it looks bad on their organization. and Tim Thomas is not doing well trying to defend himself. Saying 'it's my personal beliefs' he has to explain himself instead of trying to dance around it. Besides, America allows freedom of speech, does it not?

  • Any president/legislator that would sign the latest NDAA bill is treasonous lowlife. This bill was pushed by the Republicans and more or less nodded on by the Democrats. America isn't just a word-meeting the president isn't just always about meeting someone pro-America just "because". I wouldn't meet McCain either-he's the idiot who pushed this and to think he ran for the presidency. So McCain fought in Vietnam to later pass legislation to throw are rights away? TT is right

  • If all of the black athletes started doing that and it was a republican in the white house, they would be called everything but a child of God by the same people on here defending what thomas did, but we are all use to the hypocrisy by these idiots. I didn't care for bush's policies, but if he would have invited me to the white house or needed me to do something to server the country, I would have been on the first thing smoking...

  • @kolddream14 Not by me. Steelers LB James Harrison also dissed Barack, and I tweeted that it was wrong, too.

  • Morons like Tim Thomas can't help it....if you watched a week of FOXNews(which i watched both MSNBC and FOX just to see what everyone talks about concerning cable shows) and listen to conservative radio, you would think that the President is a christian/muslim/terrorist/new black panther/racist/atheist/dictator hell bent on the destruction of the country....I have come to understand that these poor morons like Thomas are the victims of bad information, insecurity, and fear.

  • @kolddream14

The stuff Thomas has said is pretty mild, just that he disagrees with how much power the federal government has. You on the other hand seem pretty brainwashed... The way you instantly launched into a tirade of blind accusations because someone refused to pose in propaganda photos with the president...

  • I agree with others that Tim Thomas stood up for himself and made his decision. However, the fact is that it showed a bit of self-centeredness from his part. It was for the team. There's no 'I' in team, but there's a big 'I' in Thomas. But hey, at least if he keeps stopping the puck, that's always a good story!

  • @skytrainrox12 Well considered.

  • @skytrainrox12

What was for the team? Does anyone seriously start liking a hockey team more because they posed for photos with a politician?

It's called government propaganda and anyone who refuses to participate in it has common sense.

  • It's amazing how "Patriotism" has been slowly moulded (by media) to the definition of: "supporting your governments actions with no questions asked". That is in truth very UNpatriotic, it is abandoning your responsibility as a US citizen to ensure your country's actions reflect the will of the people.

    Tim Thomas - 1

    zennie62 - 0

  • @thevuduchild Zennie62 100, Tim Thomas 0

  • @zennie62 beautifully articulated rebuttal. your sense of patriotism and understanding of the word are off the charts. citizen fail

  • @thevuduchild Zennie62 200, Tim Thomas 0.

  • @zennie62 I understand you sticking to superficial humour to avoid a real discussion of what Thomas was doing, since your stance is on such shaky foundation. But before I leave this conversation I want to reiterate that you are a disgrace to your country if you don't see the moral implications of what Thomas did. I await your new score tally, you're a very funny person...

  • If you're an american president, you back your people. YOU DO NOT SIGN THEIR FREEDOMS EVEN FURTHER AWAY WITH THE NDAA.

  • great point! ridiculous behavior

  • great point! ridiculous behavior

  • He didnt want to go and he didnt have to go if he didnt want to. I dont know why everybody wont just leave Thomas alone.

  • Last time I checked this was a free country and in a free country we all have the right to make our own decisions. I have alot of respect for Timmy Thomas deciding not to go. He doesn't agree with the way the govt is being run, and I agree with him completely. Obama and this govt are running our country into the ground.

  • @kmalson37 Never said it wasn't a free country, just that what he did - or anyone before him - was bad form.

  • @kmalson37 Also, Obama's not "running the country into the ground." Where you got that idea is wild at the very least.

  • I'm Canadian and I refuse to meet the Queen.

  • @isocrate27 That's not saying shit; the Queen didn't call for you!

  • @4rced2speak Ok, you asked for it: blocked. I also removed your comment.

  • He is not classless. Obama is an illegal president. In his own book, he claims he visited pakistan in 1981, a year when it was impossible for any american to go into the country. Which passport did he use to get into that country?

You americans that believe the bs. that comes out of cnn and your president are lemmings. Your president is a muslim trojan horse.

  • @stepMasterB Such BULLSHIT. If you'd bother to do some brain-work, you'd find that Americans traveled freely from the USA to Pakistan in 1981. But you'd believe anything against Barack without fact-checking it. Typical.

  • Tim Thomas has a right to decline an invitation to the White House. There were plenty of people like Rasheed Wallace that didn't want to meet President Bush, but did anyway compromising their integrity. It's America, not Iraq, Iran, Romania or Nazi Germany...Obama is not a dictator. One has the right to decline the invitation, and that's one of many great privileges in this country. It's also a privilege people still fight for around the world.

  • @Deepstarr7020 I disagree, but I like the way you stated your view!

  • And also Thomas clearly said that he blames both parties. This is not a partizan issue

  • @mmanouvelles That would be an interesting interview. I say when your president calls, you go.

  • @zennie62 No you don't...last time I checked we're not living in Communist Russia. You stand by your principles and values till your final breath.

  • @TheFreemanontheland7 Not if it's unreasonable.

  • @TheFreemanontheland7 Yeah, that's what Captain Ahab said....

  • @4rced2speak Comment removed again. You can't express yourself intelligently it seems. Again, I said Jordan was wrong. One more unintelligent blast and I'll block you.

  • The media is always complaining that athletes do not care about the issues. but when one takes a stand like thomas, they are bitching.

Bravo Thomas. I personnaly agree with his decision, but even if I did not I would applaud him for taking a stand in what he believes.

  • @4rced2speak Comment removed. Express yourself intelligently. I never said Jordan was correct. Sorry. But I will not allow flaming statements here. Go elsewhere.

  • @darkslyk Huh? That's a level of hyperbole that does not apply to my vlog.

  • @mrdanny5 Whoever made the comment is blocked, and comment removed.

  • next time read what thomas said.... then think.... "good for him"

  • And how do you know Tim made his decision not to go because he thought he was being "noble, brave and courageous"? Tim clearly stated he didn't want to go and support an administration that he thinks is doing a bad job. You know what happens when we assume? You make an "ASS out of U and ME".

  • @MattyYouthGoon Good point here.

  • So you don't want to hear stuff about racism, yet you claim that Tim Thomas would have gone if a white president was in office? Hmm.

  • @MattyYouthGoon I don't want n-word, irrational comments. That's what I mean by "racist types."

  • I disagree with you sir. He is not disrespecting the president personally. He doesn't like what the government as a whole has, and is currently doing. Like other posters said about the bombings and all the sneaky stuff going on. Also 'you just go' shows that you have been brainwashed and have mistook it for being patriotic....think for yourself... I respect Tim

  • I totally agree.

  • Classless?, No. Staying true to his beliefs, Yes. I have loads of respect for Tims decision to not attend. Our Gov. is f*cked. Republicans and Democrats both. Its time they start listening to the people!!!!!!!

  • Man if someone were against the state completely or wanted a revolution why should they attend the white house. I'm black and I wouldn't attend. This whole 'if you're american' thing needs to go. Patriotism is so pointless.

  • @TheLastZulu

No, if you're a patriot you understand that Tim Thomas as a free citizen of the United States of America has the right to decline the White House invitation.

  • @Deepstarr7020 No, Thomas should have walked his ass to the White House.

  • Thomas is not the first athlete to find better things to do than listen to the president tell corny jokes that somebody else wrote. A few NASCAR drivers didn’t go last year. Former Red Sox G.M. Theo Epstein didn’t show up after Boston won the World Series—twice. Dan Hampton made a stink about not going to a celebration of the 1985 Chicago Bears. Why is it that Thomas is receiving such criticism. If it was a normal day citizen it wouldn't matter.

  • @ntfd125 Why is it the list consists entirely of white guys? Just saying...

  • @zennie62 I don't think race has any thing to do with it being the fact that Obama is the first black president. I also find it funny that in your video you tell youtubers not to mention the race card but you did it yourself.

  • @ntfd125 Nope. What I don't want are the n-word types. But race card? No such thing. That's a howler. I enjoy talking about race, but with people who KNOW how to talk about race.

  • @zennie62 Nope. What I don't want are the n-word types. But race card? No such thing. That's a howler. I enjoy talking about race, but with people who KNOW how to talk about race.

  • "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism" thomas jefferson

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking... we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” -Aleksandr I. Solzhetnitsyn these are very very serious times tyrrany is being put in place from bush to now. as the economy is being destroyed by designed the police state is being built.

research how russia and china became poor and starvng it started like this

  • Maybe Tim Thomas hates war. Maybe he hates the killing of innocent people. Maybe he hates to have to pay for those things even though he hates them. Our President bombed libya and has not withdrawn our troops from the middle east. Maybe Tim Thomas hates that for the reasons i just stated. Maybe he didnt go to the white house for legit reasons. Maybe you calling him classless is ignorant and uninformed.

  • @cincinatus90 He doesn't hate war.. He is a Republican.

  • @army2k08 So is Ron Paul, and he hates war. Dont be a dope. Think before you type.

  • @cincinatus90 This is the reason why RP never stood a chance to win the nomination. American exceptionalism is Republican 101. I have thought about it, have you?

  • @army2k08 Dont change the subject. You were dead wrong.

  • @cincinatus90 It is what it is.

  • Zennie, on tonight's State of The Union Address by President Obama, MSNBC reported that there is a Senator (did not catch his name) from Colorado who will not be attending the State of the Union Address tonight because he does not like any of President Obama's policies, the hatred of the Republicans/conservatives/Tea party people is just disgusting.

  • Didn't even know who he was 'til I saw this post by you. On his wiki page it says the person he'd most like to have dinner with is Glenn Beck lol. Don't know if that's true or not, considering it's from wiki..

Gotta say that even though I lean more on the conservative side, I do agree with you. You attend out of respect for the president. Also, whether you agree with the pres or not, it's gotta be pretty cool to meet him and go to the white house.
