  • I bet peta would love this

  • BPSI=Bees Per Square Inch

  • Looks like they are running out of myths people actually might want to see busted.

  • Hey this surely is the cause of why the world bee population is disappearing! There it is guys, cracked it!

  • i hope they let that bee live

  • we want window 7 PC to be lifted

  • He said "Fuck-a-dee" at the end.

  • @DerpyTehMuffinz No I don't think they could air that

  • Does anyone know the name of the little tune between 1:49 to 2:20? I would love to know!

  • 2 people are members of PETA

  • wtf is "bee-friendly" glue.

  • @Xenon2684 glue that is non-toxic toward bees.

  • If the bees are genetically programmed to stay near the queen, why would they fly away and thus lift the laptop?? I don't think that improves ur chance of lifting it, is decreases it.

  • Idiots will always be misled by their lack of critical thinking.

  • AAAAH! NOT THE BEES! AGLBLF IN MY EYES!

  • i'm glad it's not in 3d...

  • It is a fact, science cannot explain how bees achieve flight, so...

  • @Nicmadis Was...

  • @Nicmadis Well in fact science can. Its a common misconception that science can't. Try searching for bumblee myths on wikipedia :)

  • @Nicmadis no that's a false statement, and slightly ironic you posted it on a myth busters video. HONEYbees appear in this video, and how they flew was not a mystery. It was BUMBLEbees for which there were unanswered questions, but that was finally solved too. It was never a "mystery" rather it was simply a case of not having observed bumblebees close enough to recognize all the things about them that make them able to fly.

  • Bee-friendly glue? I wanna see that.

  • You would think they'd have thought "this looks fake" when the laptop was so motionless as it "hovered". It looked like a magic trick..next we'll have mythbusters taking on David Copperfield.

  • My arm is itching :(

  • try with the macbook air lol

  • "they keep moving ! "

dude take a picture, they won't move in there

  • I want a bee leash for my pet bee.

  • @KingdomheartsII catch a bee/fly put it in a container into your freezer for 5 mins, Then take him out and immidiatly get some fishing line and tie it around the top segment of the bee/fly. NOW! as ur lil dude slowly wakes up from his chillie coma he will start to try and fly off, but suprise! u got him on ur fishing line leash. lol its epic done it at a friends place a few times.

  • It didn't have wireless network, so the Bees did not fly away and watch beeporn. Infact the laptop was not on!

  • use macbook air

  • @SyncMasterXD no. use msi wind u100

  • c'mon is phisically impossible to bees fly syncronized to lift a laptop...

and.. the thrust who they generate will be blocked by the laptop itself

  • @kbssaprodussoes So true.. Just like newtons 3. law...

  • @kbssaprodussoes it is not phisically impossible for bees to fly syncronized.

  • @kbssaprodussoes Thrust is generated by jet engines. Bees generate lift.

  • @PillzHerePictures The air from the bees wings would press down on the laptop, thus canceling lift.

  • @james1997123 Lift is created by the wings displacing the air, creating a disparity in the air pressure which effectively "sucks" the bees upwards. The laptop would have no real effect...

  • @PillzHerePictures James is right because you've forgotten about the fact that the air that is displaced by the wings has to be displaced SOMEwhere... The laptop being in the way, as well as all the other bees means that it's impossible for them to create that disparity in pressure you're talking about.

The Mythbusters confirm it with experimentation, but the logic is obvious in any case.

  • @PillzHerePictures well, the back of a jet engine blasts hot compressed air with a fan. and fans push air in front of it, right? whats the difference with wings? do you even know what lift is?

  • @kbssaprodussoes taken from the episode...

  • 11:50 FUCK IT

  • the discover website showed that the laptop moved....

  • 1:01 imagine...

Adam: With... protective gears on us, right?

    Jamie: No.

    Adam: O.O

  • HAHAHA LOL ROFL LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! BUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The guy who sent that video that bees can lift a laptop just got pwned..!!!! NULL

  • since the beads were at a slight angle the bee is actually lifting more than just the weight of 8 beads as it would need to add enough force to compensate for the horizontal force the string of beads is exerting. Also the weight of the string, all though small might be significant compared to a weight of .096 grams

  • @JaaMizzou22 ...and if you were watching them weigh the string of beads, you would have noted that they included the string.

  • @gtdreamsmith true but still not compensating for the horizontal vector of force being exerted on the string. Although it still most likely wouldn't be able to be lifted it could add about 50% to the flight strength

  • Busted!!!------>

  • Beads. Bees? BEADS! BEADS?!

  • @sxFreelancerxs Take a deep breath it will bee ok!
