I have noticed, however, that regardless of which version of Picture Box the clip is from, the same presenter guy always seems so solemn when he appears and greets us with that rather melancholy 'hello...' Not exactly a barrel of laughs, that guy, eh?
We grew up with the creepy version and battle of the planets and other assorted violence and wierdness. thats why were the jilted generation. rock on.

I wonder if there's a divide between the well-adjusted kids who grew up with this theme tune, and the damaged ones who grew up with the later creepier one?

@Joannehowe I agree. The album is extremely rare and expensive too. I have no idea who put forth the copyright claim, as the album was released on an independent label, i believe.
Nevertheless, at least others have posted the opening of picture box for all to see and enjoy!
Agree with daveyC95 creepy music and that strange spinning glass box 70's and 80's kid stuff was class if a bit weird
