  • Her name didn't mean slut. Lord, it meant "little mischief," meaning that she was very free spirited, just as the movie portrays her. Certainly she did not flirt with everyone, nor did she whore it up. Learn the facts.

  • this.is.my.favorite.song.in.pocahontas. where the hell did you get it!?!?!?!?

  • I HAVE A QUESTION! WHERE DID YOU GET THIS SONG, LIKE THE KARAOKE VERSION???????

  • what I dream the day might send .......

  • its seems kinda fast to be..but then again i might just be making it slower when i sing it :P

  • its so fast!!

  • When I was kid, it always bothred me that she didn't want to marry Kokoum because I though he was cute.

  • @SuperXAwesomeXMe :)))) Oh, I was thinking I'm the only one girl that likes Kokoum:))))

  • I love it

  • at the end of this song I get so touched I can barely hold my notes >.<

  • i've heard this song so many times, that if i hear it karaoke its like i hear the lyrics to...

  • I love the end, these words of this song are my favorite:

Or do you still wait for me dream giver

    I LOVE that part :)

  • I think im gonna try to sing this in finnish xDDD

  • @Tuhkimotarina111 DUDE if you sing this in finnish send me a link lol. I would love to hear it in finnish! (sorry about the dude part, i call everyone dude. Didnt mean any offense by it :D )

  • @GuitarRockinChick18 Haha, I would but I seriously suck at singing xDD

  • I love this movie..but the second one ruind it for me..cause i hate that she didnt end up with john smith...WTF was up with that..i know its a true story but they could have changed it a little...T_T....

  • its a true story?? i didnt know that

  • @monca1702

    WOW you didnt?!

you have alot to learn missy..and btw if i remeber correctally she deid alittle after she got married with that other dude..i think it was smallpocks or somthing..

  • in a true story pocahontas didnt have a romans with john smith. he was her friend. and she married the second man.

and she had a son. Thomas. and in a movie thomas was a young boy, john smiths friend. =)

  • have you seen pocahontas 2?

  • @Nanessa12 yeah and she was only a young naked girl when she met him.

  • @monca1702

It's characters are based on real people, but

it is extremely inaccurate. For example, the relationship between poco an d john is father and daughter not lovers. Pocahontas died at the age of 21 of small pox. Thats just only a couple of the many historical errors.

But I don't care the movie rocks. ^_^

  • @kiraragirl200 you're right! The CYT play Legend of Pocahontas is wayyyy more accurate.

  • @kiraragirl200 ok you totally got me confused lol are you saying kocoum or powhatan was a lover to john smith? or did you mean to say that kocoum and pocahontas were father and daughter and not lovers?

  • @kiraragirl200 okay i found a website and it says that Kocoum and pocahontas were lovers, that they actually had married each other. But shortly before she died she did make a visit to england as a princess.

    Here's a website for it lol pocahontas(.)morenus(.)org/

  • @GuitarRockinChick18

Yes, Kokuom and Pocahontas were married, they and had a kid. John Smith and Pocahontas were just friends in real life. When she was captured Kokuom and her child were killed (I think). She was taken to england, she was made into a Christian, Baptized, and renamed Rebecca. She married a tobacco plantation owner named John Rolfe. She died on 1617 of Smallpox. I may be wrong, let me know if I am.

  • @kiraragirl200 random update... she also had a different tribal name, more than one name in fact. pocahontas was a nickname that translates to something like 'wanton one' or basically slut. im not a historian or anything and am in no way trying to claim this as cold hard fact but its what i read somewhere and i'd sure like to let myself think its true :)

  • @brookedelynn89

Pocahontas was a tribal name meaning "Little Mischief" kind of what we would call a flirt. She was also about fourteen, and not very attractive. At least that's what i understand from history.

  • @SasuNaruAmuto well they had to follow some part of history ! LOL

  • @SasuNaruAmuto Yeah, since they did totally change the story line for the first one xD

  • @SasuNaruAmuto I KNOW!!!!!!!!! I was so pissed! I wish I never watched the second one.

  • thank you for posting this video!

and to all of you complaining about the second movie, i think it was disney's attempt at being historically accurate but they did fail pretty badly.

  • I love Pocahontas, but I really hate the second episode, i think it really ruins the first one...

  • i love this movie but i get kinda annoyed that she leaves him in the second movie. good job tho love it

  • Thx =)

I did a vidrespnse, too xD But it's meant funny... Because I sang in languages, I don't even know how to pronounciate xDD That's so much fun! Thx so much ;)

  • aaaah merci d'avoir mis cette vidéo ! j'ai pu vérifier si je connaissais bien cette chanson par coeur ^^ ♥ thank youu ♥♥

  • *sigh* I love this song. (Posted my response by the way)

  • Yay! I have to sing this for a contest. ^^

  • this movi always has this certain n type of feeling for me that said home.. or like some type of comfort idk i love poca.

  • She should marry Kokoum. I always got mad as a kid when she rejected him XD

  • pshah!! John Smith sooo much cooler!!!!

  • lol

  • I always felt somewhat sorry for Kokoum, but at the end of the day he ws very stern and we never actually saw him speak to Pocahontas at all. For all we know, they could have been friends all their lives or they could have hated each other. Or they may just have never known one another. Imagive marrying someone you don't know? At the end of the day, all we know is that she just loved someone else, I guess.

  • me too!

  • Comment removed

  • aye, she's all happy with John Smith, then in the second one, she goes off with some other bloke. and John sails away.. strange series of events.

    FLASHBACK.

    Wow, thanks. ^_^

  • Heheh...Because of the background melody it kinda makes me think Pocahontas is singing in the style of one of the grown-ups from Charlie Brown :D
