  • I guess he drove on the grass at the side of the track, the car lost traction and it went off

  • @ibizalover2000 I have been doing these events with Porsche Club for over 14 years. STRICT RULES ARE: YOU DO NOT EXIT YOUR VEHICLE. That is why we pay lots of money for CORNER WORKERS. A corner worker is a trained person who assists the crashed car in the event of an accident such as this so that the other drivers do not put themselves in harm's way. They drill this into our heads at every drivers' meeting. Which club do you belong to that you are supposed to leave your vehicle on a hot track?

  • That was a bad crash! Lets just drive by and assume hes not dead, these cars are still very safe but still.

  • @BubbaWatsonfan15 The driver was fine - shaken up, but no broken bones, etc. In the history of the Porsche Club, I don't think anyone has ever died at a driver's ed event... what great cars!

  • @vana4x4 Thats good these supercars and race cars are pretty safe these days.

  • @vana4x4 Well cause noone is careless enough to join the front straight coming out of the pits like in that Ferrari event!!! Lets hope there are never bad crashes

  • @mkuroglu Great.... comments like these that make me disable comments... Ok, here we go: Look closely - it's the KINK, not the front straight coming out of the pits. And no one was being careless. Mistakes happen, but this was not a result of carelessness.

  • @vana4x4 Lady you clearly a) Didnt read my comment b) Didnt understand my comment. I am saying that ones in the vid are careful unlike the ones in that Ferrari event I was referring to.... OMG

  • @mkuroglu Sorry about that, I totally misunderstood. I have had a freaking plethora of idiotic comments this week - like they let the institutions have internet access this week or something! Sorry I mistook you for one of the jackasses on youtube. (Maybe I'll disable my own comments this week, lol)

  • @vana4x4 LOL I understand no problem by any means, have a blast tracking the GT3 and keep it shiny side up :)

  • I lost it in the Kink in July. some how kept it off the wall though.

  • You can see the guy fishtail coming off the apex. Too much gas? Yea you can see his tail go left, he over corrects.

  • i know what happened..........vtec kicked in yo

  • OH MY GODDD...go go go

  • My dream girl..

  • THAT corner always gets someone. it seems like he slides out about 3/4 into the turn and just couldnt get it under control.

  • I may have to test my theory on my racing simulations, but my best guess is that the driver took that fast right-hander flat out in 4th gear and erroneously shifted into 3rd gear instead of 5th gear on track out. The result would be that the rear differential locked up the rear tires and snapped the rear of the car out.

  • @username2153 - yes (not in the car that crashed, though), and she passes quite a few guys in her own GT3 not to mention she is a driving instructor to boot :) The guy in her passenger seat is a great racing coach from Idaho.

  • wait... is that a girl driving?????

  • It looks like his tire went flat causing the rear end to spin suddenly.

  • Damn

  • right at the exit curb of the kink the track falls away a bit... the first time i drove through it in a formula bmw i took it flat and scared the hell out of myself... it makes it that much more daunting, so it's really understandable that it would be able to catch out regular everyday trackday drivers...

  • It's not "fuck'em gogogo", it's "keep the track free and safe for the incoming" I guess

  • Couldn't agree with you more! It is driver's ED after all - not the INDY 500 :)

  • @mellilore hehe gogogogogo!!! we'll take his place!!!

  • hit the inner curb?

  • I hate tracks with walls!

  • fine, go to the desert them!

  • Definitely! Real racers would prefer to fly into the woods! Just ask Jim Clark.

  • Ok rear wheel drive rear engine and going through the kink will have alot of oversteer effect if you are a novice or unskilled with porshes.

oversteer looked like the problem to much spped through the kink at the wrong angle.

  • That is what happens in the Kink. If you don't get the car right you will have the pinball effect a lot of times.

  • Wow.. wonder if it was brake disc failure

  • What??? You're not supposed to brake on the exit of a corner!
