  • Tq so much. It helps me a lot

  • this is ridiculous, why should it take me almost 5 min to write a single measure for drums? I just switched to Sib from Fin and maybe this is just me but isn't the standard notation for highhat been the same since the 40s? why not simply incorporate this into the staff to begin with? why not be pragmatic with the drum map? the drum map has been standardized for quite some time now. why does sib insist on making this a multi-step process for composers/copyists/editors?

  • @maxdible Apologies for the delay in replying. Sibelius uses the drum map that is recommended by the Percussive Arts Society. There is, in fact still disagreement about where to place the hi-hat - some drummers place it above the staff and others place it on the top line. This video shows you the "manual" way of creating a drum pattern. It's much quicker with a MIDI keyboard but I made chose to show this method b/c not everyone has access to a MIDI keyboard.

  • I love you

  • Great! thanks! I'd like to know if there's a way of playing the notes at the same volume they sound individually...
