as long as it is considered mandatory, then it is not freedom of choice especially when the govt. will assess fines to those that do not comply. the govt. is treading into dangerous waters going this route.
whats with the levying of fines, penalties, taxes for failure to do business with a 3rd party? Have you even read both the house and senate versions and can you site any particular sources on how either bill deals with the true costs of healthcare. I'm not talking about health insurance. I'm talking about a time when it was actually affordable to pay in cash. What happened and what has been addressed to date or in the past. Absolutely nothing.
