Longest boeing flight is Delta airlines: Johannesburg to Atlanta (7300NM) flown by a B77L. The distance between the mentioned sydney and london is 9200NM btw :)

I'd invest it and I'd buy franchises to cover the income needed to pay the taxes on it each year, and I'd tuck a bunch in long term retirement plans as well. Maybe I'll buy a house but I wouldn't blow all of it as some people do. You can get a starbucks for $170,000 and it's like crack, so the ROI would be great.

Don't forget also that at higher altitudes such as FL510, the speed of sound is substantially lower than at sea level (thinner air for those who don't know why), so as far as air speed goes at high altitudes, Mach .925 will be less at a given altitude than compared to sea level, but it will attain higher ground speeds compared to sea level because there will be less friction, although compressible aerodynamics may come into play since approaching the Mach threshold, but that's another post...
