You put a carton of eggs in the freezer and let them almost freeze this puts all the matter at the bottem and will allow it to stand up. have you ever seen the punching bags that stand back up after you hit them?

Hey, this is great!

I, too, had an Astronomy teacher (back in '88) that tried to teach us this.

Fortunately, my common sense kicked in and I made it a point to bring an egg in every week and prove him wrong. It was a blast.

One day, I was able to balance one upside down. It was on a slanted desk, though. So, I don't think I can officially count that.

Why would criminals want more light? If that's so, they'd do their crimes during the day. If I were a criminal working at night, I'd want a new moon so there would be as little light as possible (making for an easier escape should that come up). In practice, I doubt criminals give much thought to the moon when deciding when to commit their crimes.
