  • hey awesome playin man,,,and cool guitar too...how do the ULTRA and XL modules compare to the Randall v2/t2...im undecided on buyin...

  • @abhinav1102 Thanks a lot bro! I think those modules are the most close to the T2 and V2, so it's really your choice, with the modular head you have more versatility because you can change the modules, but if you need not too much versatility go for one of that two ;)

  • @Bandaner wat have your experiences been wit the T2 and V2...which one would u prefer..??

  • @abhinav1102 The sound of the 2 heads is pretty the same, but the T2 is for people that play only metal, the V2 is more versatile, you have also the graphic EQ and it's a cool feature in an head like that, so mainly the sound is very close but if you are gonna play only heavy metal, the T2 is enough ;)

  • @Bandaner thanks man...btw im a total fan of yr playin..its so 'wild'..

then im gonna get the v2...but still i really like the tones from yr rm head...especially the ultra and ultra xl...i hope i can get similar tones from v2 if not better..

  • @abhinav1102 Thanks bro, I really appreciate your words!

Don't worry, the V2 has the same sound of that modules ;)

  • Can it play Metalcore?

  • @Sephiroth78941 I think it can be perfect for it! ;)

  • what is the riff you are playing at the end?

  • Hi! All the riffs played in this videos are written by me and all the solos are improvised...

  • hey whats the difference between the ultra xl and Ultra

because they both say modern metal

  • Hi! The Ultra XL is a compressed version of the Ultra, so it's cool also for solos, Ultra is good more for riffs than for solos. (Ultra XL is like Dimebag sound for rithm and solos too)

  • Which module has the most gain for just pure metal?

  • Hi, it depends from what you need...

The Ultra XL is like Darrell's sound and is cool for rithm and solos too. The 1086 sound's very cool for metal riffs bur for this you have a lot of choices: TreadPlate (duel rectifier) but like the original amp is a little bit confused with bass frequencies. The Ultra is cool, the Modern too...i suggest you to listen the sound of all this modules before to make your choice.

  • Hi bro!

I'm so sorry but the Mr Scary is one of the 2 or 3 modules I don't have and maybe it's the only one I don't have ever tried! :S

The Grail is a very fat lead sound and I think but maybe I'm wrong, that the Mr Scary is like a rithm heavy distortion...

  • i know this is off topic a little but hows the gain compare between the mr scary and grail? definately enough gain for all the arena rock shit?

  • is the difference between this module and the kh-3 module big? does this have more gain?

  • Hi, the difference is in the tone of the distortion, that 2 modules are both very high gained...BTW, the KH3 sounds exactly like enter sandman, very very cool! The Ultra XL sounds like Dimebag, cool for Riffs and Solos too...it's your choice! I really love both!

  • Thanks! :D but the ULTRA is best for heavy riffing right?

  • Yes, I mean, Kirk's sound is GREAT, but Dimebag's one is mooooore aggressive! ;)

  • Kind of a Randy Roads tone. Is the level turned back? Digging this module a lot. Awesome playing.

  • hey buddy, will thsi module do me some justice if my guitar was down two whole steps???

i've played through the Mr. Scary and the 1086, but it seams that they don't have enough gain for that low of tuning.....would the ultra XL solve my problem???

i'm playing through an ESP M with a tune-o-matic bridge with seymour duncan active blackout pickups...

  • Hi bro!

I think that your right module should be UltraXL or Ultra...UltraXL is great for solos too(Sounds like Dimebag) but the ULTRA is made for low tunings, maybe,f you don't have to use it for solos too, it's should be better.

    Please let me know

    Bye! ;)

  • whats the setting your using for the module?

  • Hi sorry for my delay answering!!!

I use only the guitar and the amp, without any effect.

The settings of the module are:

Gain 8 All the EQ at 10, only the Middle at 6 and the level at 5.

    The head settings are:

    Presence 7 contour 4

My Pickups are seymour Duncan, Dimebag's signature(Bridge) and the '59(Neck)
