Hello EdwardianTeaChest. Have you ever tried playing C64 online with Kaillera client? So far only CCS64 has Kaillera support. So, I am looking for people to play with online. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks! :-)
BWT, how did you capture this footage? VICE internal, which I can't get to work, or external screen recording software?
If you can not hear it properly, ive written what the movie clip said.
Many millions of years ago, there was life on the planet, Cybertron; but not life as we know it today. the intelligent robots that could think and feel inhabited the planet. They were called Autobots and Decepticons. The brutal Decepticons were driven by a single rule: total domination. They set out to destroy the peace loving Autobots as a war between the forces of good and evil raised across Cybertron.
The war devistated the planet (and) drained it's once rich sources of energy. The Autobots and Decepticons left Cybertron in search of energy, taking their battle into space. Locked into mortal combat, they spiraled into Earth's gravity field and crashed. All remained *tired?* as they lay dormant for millions of years. 4 million years later,An Earth tremor re-activated the ship. The robots were repaired into modern machinery.
I thought this game sucked, all you did was position the target over a Decepticon and hold your finger down shooting it until it went away. That said, it is cool to see this game gain, it's a nice window into my childhood.
I had this game. The trick was to deploy each Autobot depending on his skills; Hot Rod wherever you anticipated a gunfight because of his firepower, Blurr furthest away because of his quick refuelling time, Bumblebee along the road between landmarks because of his vision, etc.
I had this game. It was terrible. I loved the transformers, so i wanted it to be good ... but playing it was a pretty stupid experience. There was another c64 side scroller for the c64 that was a little better but not much.
I really think the games budget went into the intro.. and maybe 5% into the actual game... I can't remember any gameplay at all actually... but the intro rocked!! LOL
You rule for posting this! I have neither the patience nor the know-how to get a C64 emulator running properly. :P It's great to see this game again after so many years.
Did you edit out the load times in the intro? I seem to recall longer pauses between screens...
I had the Mastertronic budget version and it didn't include this intro, my version also crashed all the time too, must have been a fault with the original code.
Locked in MORTAL KOMBAAAAAT!

Haw, I love how Rodimus Prime transforms then immediately after that Hot Rod Transformer.

WTF on the boringly long transforming sequence they had Rodimus Prime AND Hot Rod.

You really must appreciate the designers hard work on this game despite not having the best graphical resolution to pull these scenes off

Probably one of the worst C64 games. It was practically unplayable and impossible to beat.

I got a transformers game for the c64 , don't know if it is this one. But I couldn't do anything haha and I tried everything I came to think of.

I loved this game, never had a problem running it but the disk drive would get so hot I couldn't play it twice in a row.
I just remember Bumblebee being the WORST in the game, took 10 hits to kill anything. Hot Rod just one shotted everyone.

Yes, I removed all the loading pauses in the intro.

@sadeviant It is not very hard. You load a game and run it (then play it). Very easy. Just try VICE 2.2 emulator.

This takes me back. My copy always crashed though when i needed to go to the zoo!
dlawlan23 4 years ago
I don't think anyone's copy of this game ever worked. That beginning was so elaborate, it tired the c64 disc drive.

Where did you find this? and where can I find more information on this?
GODCONVOYPRIME 4 years ago
I created the clip from footage I had captured whilst playing the game on a C64 emulator. There is some information about the game on Lemon 64.
