Good idea with the 2 liter bottles. I just got a topsy turvey and I'm gonna give that a try since I bought it already. But I think I'm gonna give the bottles a try too! ya know if ya invert that top after drilling small holes you still can water easy and get it to drip drop the water which will keep the water from fast flowing in and filling the soil to to compacted state... more of a controlled watering giving a better amount and as well the roots have a warmer area.

I've learned a lot since this video. No... I don't sell pot. But I can take a jab! I'm still just as silly as ever and don't plan to change anytime soon. Using Percolite, or any similar product that absorbs moisture is required. Just soil will allow dirt to keep settling towards bottom and transform into a rock, which will cause root rot ((trust me))...lol

It won't get watered when it rains. The surface area at the top (or bottom) will not gather enough water to keep a fast growing plant like tomato alive. You will always have to top it up just like normal pots in the garden! Anyway most plants will grow up-side-down as they will always grow towards the light, "weed" will just grow around and up the side of the bottle. A lot of words to say very little of importance but thanks anyway. I'm growing veg in my fish tank. Don't think I will eat it tho

Wonderful video I hope it all works out for you! I just built a stand for all my hanging plants, visualize a pole about 6 foot with a plus or cross on the top, like a propeller. With that I can hang 3 hangers on each limb for a total of 12 plants! Only Takes up a 10x10 area. Amazing, good luck!

here's an idea....

chop off the bottom of the bottle.

Pop a few holes in the bottom then flip it over and slide it back into the bottle upside down.

It will act like a dish to collect water and trickle it into the soil.

Well good question! The I put decorative stuckers on the soda bottle so it doesn't just look like a soda bottle hanging on the side of my house.

I used milk jugs for my upside down tomato garden...with pepper plants and marigolds on top! and the handle hangs from the pvc pipe. I did have trouble with a storm which caused my trellis to collapse..but it is doing much better!
