How To: Put games on an EDGE DS.

@LaxBroHockey Yes. Also make sure you aren't downloading the iEDGE software if you're using a normal EDGE for the DS/DS Lite. Which kind of EDGE cart do you have? I'll just go ahead and send you the link to the correct software for your EDGE.

@LaxBroHockey The root of the SD card is the screen where you place the EDGE folder and all your games. Do not put the EDGE.dat in any folder. Just drag and drop it to where all your games are.

@LaxBroHockey Make sure the EDGE.dat file is on the root of your MicroSD card. If you keep getting that error try taking out the MicroSD card and blow into the EDGE and try blowing into the Slot 1 on the DS.

@R4D1CALx It could either be that you need to update your EDGE's firmware, or you have to wait until the EDGE team releases a firmware fix for it. I don't play pokemon but you can also try looking for a cracked/patched NDS rom of it somewhere.

@Pwnshadow Well, sadly, the site Romulation was forced to close off their NDS downloads. So you will have to find a new source for NDS downloads.

ive ran into a problem. this use to work fine on an older laptop which had vista. i recently bought a new laptop about a month or so ago and after i have donwloaded the rom from romulation it appears on my desktop but i cant do anything with it. i try to open it but it says windows cannot open this file. it hasnt got the same icon as show in the video it has like a white piece of paper with the top corner folded. if anyone can shine any information on this it would be much appretiated

when i pop in the micro sd card in com. the com only says removable disk ect and i have everything in the card and it was working perfect couple days ago. when i put micro sd in edge card it plays everything except for 3 to 4 games even tho they worked good. some of the games turn white and freeze and some pop up a let about memory or something does anyone no the prob .

The ROMs don't need a number in front of them. Be sure you're legally using them, though. Read NDS-Gear's "legal" page (Google NDS-Gear) for more information about what's legal and not on your DS card.

FAT stands for file allocation table. Format your Micro SD card in your computer. If you right click the drive that corresponds with it when connected, you select "Format". Format in "FAT". There's also FAT32 or NTFS but stick to FAT. it's by far more stable than FAT32.

and remember that if you get an error try playing first a different rom. if a different one plays, just redownload the file and overwrite the file on your card. if it still doesnt work, reformat first your microsd to FAT then update your OS then try again.
