Some may not agree but I don't wanna get insulted so just get the one you like. I have a i7 950 and I'm very satisfied with it but I prefer the console for games.
@Pay2play4aday good to know you have an i7 at 3ghz per core, while you get 6ghz of that in a game,my 4 core gets 6.4ghz,more cores doesn't mean better you dumbass
@Timster480 I hate to agree, but you are right there. If more games took advantage of dual, quad, and hexa-core processors then It would be a grand day. I know that Optifine can make Minecraft run on more than one core, substantially increasing FPS and decreasing chunk loading times with fewer lag spikes.
Who gives a fuck about 30+ fps. From 24 fps human eye can see without any distorsion/lag. 30 is good for sumthing so little and so portable and so comfortable. And graphics, who cares about them. Do you watch your enemy eye when you shoot his head. Get an i3 + a ps3+ a netbook and you're done with everyting. Keep the i3 until it cannot run programs or what you work on. Netbook for presentations and exams and console for gaming and nothing else.
@snbkk2c Yup, my i7 can process it but if there are only 25 servers... *cough* Crysis 2 *cough* and on my ps3 there are alot more why would I choose pc? To play with who? 37k gamers?
@Pay2play4aday 25 servers? LOL I played yesterday Crysis 2 MP and I saw about 1000 servers. So you are saying that you play Crysis 2 on ps3? LOL LOL LOL good lack try to play with 1152 x 720, 25-30fps, low-medium settings, small FOV, controler, etc On the other hand I play Crysis 2 with 1920x1200, 60fps, max settings, large FOV, K/M. night and day differences...
@snbkk2c LOl when I played some weeks ago there were 25 servers on the pc. psn is down atm lolz. I don't own crysis 2 on ps3 lol and I'm not giving 60$ for a 29fps with lowest settings game. It's true pc is the best performance :) I prefer pc's for mmo's and fps's but console is better when it comes down to sports and stuff.
@Pay2play4aday the problem is you are playing shit games, you see,the pc gaming community does not exactly enjoy shit games, which is is why VERY little people play crysis 2,have you ever even fucking played the first you idiot? crysis 2 = 1 step forward for console gaming,2 steps backward for pc gaming
@Pay2play4aday If you have an i3 (are you talking about a desktop, btw?), why not just upgrade the gfx card and game on that, or if you need it, upgrade the RAM? That's what, $90-$110 for a card that can max out just about any game at 1680x1050 and still get at least 30 fps? Then 2 2GB sticks of RAM cost what? $30? I don't know about you, but $130 sounds a lot cheaper than $300 for a PS3...
@Pay2play4aday If you have a desktop with something as new and powerful as an i3, why not just upgrade the graphics and /maybe/ RAM (if you don't have enough as is), and make it a gaming PC? Even if you have to upgrade the power supply unit in order for it to handle the graphics card, it'll still be cheaper than buying a PS3, and more powerful.
@Pay2play4aday 24 fps has no lag? Okay, for example, i took portal 2. I used fps_max 24 and the FPS was limited to 24. Oh my fucking god what shitty lag. 60 FPS or higher is the best. Actually it doesnt matter if you have higher fps than 60, since usually refresh rate of screens is 60.
@giver830 1 point out of many. And the point where he says that AA and AF is worse on console. Not true. It's an understatement. No gaming company has ever activated AA on a console. I have checked every major title. No AA. Clearly.
Why is consoel better then? I would love to hear it. Trust me, il take it seriously.
@SnoweyMan111 listen you guys have exclusives but so those consoles you guys watch games on pc if the person has a large hd tv no compettion...... the pc cost more than consoles.....and well come on the consoles are made for video games even he controler which i think is cleaner than using a mouse and a keyboard also sometimes you get viruses but i know you guys have steam and ive seen pc exclusives.....i think consoles exclusives are better also you cant have a friend come over and play
@giver830 Haha. I bring my PC over to a guy who has an xbox to play. Only game we splitscreen 4 people outside of my PC is Halo. I mean, alot of the games we have here may not all be splitscreen, but if they're not. We mod em into it if it fits. L4d2 and 1 has modded in splitscreen.
Nintendo 64 games? Epic nostalgia.
Viruses is no issue unless you go into really, weird sites. Like, pregnant porn.
Oh an I'm sounding like an asshole because I'm rushed and i just had a retard talk to me. Sorry.
@SnoweyMan111 listen pc cost more than consoles in my opinion consoles exclusive are better the consoles have controlers that are MADE for gaming not a keyboard and a mouse also you can have a friend over and play you can only play online plus sometimes you cant always play current games thats my opinion
Yeah Gamepads can be used with PC's no problem at all.
Yeah you prefer those exclusives (this is a good one)
Yeah online splitscreen is something i would really like. But we do lans. Do console people do that? It's really an amazing thing. Usually we have tournaments. Even if it's just a very local lan. I'm in Sweden, PC is big here (we got FPS in our genes).
@giver830 And I think that PC isn't that much more expensive. Really, it depends on when you buy stuff what stuff you buy. Example:Intel=Best quality
AMD=Slightly less quality but an extremely much lower price.
Also, PC is more a hobby thing. Your console is a sock you jerk off in and throw away when you're done. It's simple as that. PC users love their machine. I have my friend replace his xbox 2 times just because it breaks. I really don't get why, because Im a PC gamer. But isn't that stupid
@SnoweyMan111 first not everyone is like your friend and two your saying some pc s are bettter than others while the consoles are the same price and has good quality plus if someones poor every dollar counts
@giver830 Well then. How many games does the avarage person buy on the Xbox?
I would be ruined if i played there. Seriously.
Sure, every dollar counts. But it's really alot of money going into console gaming. Looking at the game prices. Every game starts at atleast 10$ less on PC. (This has been proven many times).
Theres F2P games. Sure some of them are absolute crap many of them are great though.
Every game has more content. Lasts longer. More value.
@SnoweyMan111 the console games are also long and not only can you play online you can play with friends at home wich make it feel longer not to mention the dlc and imagine how many good games you can buy for a console with the money of a high quality pc
PC games are not always cheaper than console games, especially used games. I got 3 games the other day at the store for a little over $25.
PC's does have it's exclusives, but so do consoles, like MGS 4, Uncharted, Halo: Reach, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Super Street Fighter 4, Super Mario Galaxy, etc. So it's really preference when it comes to the games.
no offense to you, but this is more of an opinionated video rather than fact, cuz there's not much proof to back up you're claims.
I have never seen a pc game that cost the same or more money than a console game(unless it is not the same game lol). Also I got 4 games(Mafia II, Mass Effect 2 Assassin's Creed II, Amnesia) 3 month ago from steam for $35.(and not used)
I totally agree with you that it comes down to what type of games you like. But the fact is that pc have more AAAE, AAE, AE exclusives.
@alondite345 Agree quite a bit. Then again, if you look at steam. I have proof PC beats console in price. Two months after the release of Red Faction Guerilla. I bought that entire companys pack on steam for 10$ (alot more back then, USD is low now) less than the console verson of that game. And every game starts off cheaper on PC. Compare prices.
And i think everything except that "kiddy" part, is fact.
Preference. Yeah 100% for that. I don't see where Splinter Cell is an exclusive though :)
well here's a few points in you're vid that i don't agree w/:
are you sure all consoles have a frame rate of 20-30 fps? cuz most games are in the 40-50 range. also, the PS3 seems to be a bit faster than Xbox 360.
In FPS games, a controller is not inferior to the mouse & keyboard, it's just different. I play FPS games on both and i feel comfortable using both.
Only Xbox 360 charges money for online play, Sony & nintendo are still free.
@alondite345 mouse and keyboard is FAR superior to a controller in terms of aiming speed and accurary. 2 'skilled' gamers on pc and xbox360, for example, the console owner would get trashed
@harper16 if thats really true, why are PC game developers still have support for controller use in FPS games on PC? If mouse & keyboard really is superior, then why haven't the developers trashed it yet? if it really was superior, they wouldn't go thru the trouble of programming in controller support in the games.
@alondite345 that's the whole point of a pc, it does a lot more things and supports a lot more stuff.
that's like saying OK we can do away with joysticks because they're crap for FPS, when in reality, they're good for flight sims etc....
pc's are made to accomodate everything and that's what makes them a far better gaming platform,
and in return to your controller support argument... no ... most game developers don't include direct support for controllers, you can do that through windows...
@harper16 well even if mouse & keyboard is allegedly better than a controller in FPS games, what about other genres of games, like fighting games, racing games, platforming games, and stealth games?
and what about motion control peripherals? yea they're gimmicking but they're selling.
but overall, i say both are good, it juss depends on the kind of games you like.
@alondite345 That's fine. I personally prefer a controller for racing games. However your argument was, and i quote, "In FPS games, a controller is not inferior to the mouse & keyboard", when it just blatantly is. Why would the developers implement aim-assist if controllers were so much better at accurate aiming like a keyboard and mouse? It's to compensate for the fact it's harder to control...when you move that thumbstick the cursor goes "about" there, whereas with a mouse you know for sure
@alondite345 It doesn't require all that much actually to get the wii mote to work with a PC. Costs just a few 10$'s if you do it correctly. And otherwise you can use mouse and keyboard. It's not all that hard really.
But emulation on the "next gen" consoles shouldn't count. As it's really piracy. And I could rebuild my console to run windows lol :D (hypotheticly, I havn't researched it or anything. It would be kinda crappy)
But at the core. I hate your community. My major issue. Why I moved
@SnoweyMan111 yea, unfortunately, there's too many trash-talking 12-year olds and retarded Frat bro's in the console gaming community. Why is it that many people don't realize that video games are for having fun?
@alondite345 Yeah, I probably would go console instead of a low end rig for the same price if it wasn't for that. I have pretty much no income. Every video you see is just the same too. I mean. Anyone new to gaming wouldn't chose that if they knew about any better platform. Except if they're just like that.
It's so annoying. You do face the occasional twat on PC too though. But good admins and dedicated servers fix that quite easily. And they seem to learn that they're assholes :)
@MrKIRA32 Well I agree that PC has more games. But quality? Dunno. Id cut off half of those really. I'm sure you agree. Koreans really make shit games. Still more games for PC.
Where's the source btw? Seems weird that you won't mention it.
@alondite345 controller support is just a left over from porting the games to PC...its no extra programming to put it in as it already has to be put in for consoles, its extra work to take it out!
anyway how can you argue about precision between controller and mouse when the mouse has the advantage of 5600DPI vs 50 dpi for precision?
not to mention with controllers you have to pick between fast or precise, with a mouse you just have precise and however fast you move it!
@crypticspoon93 :/ Please don't do that. Make sense when supporting PC.
Gamepads are great for some games.
You can't mesure gamepad precision in DPI, it's a raw input from the analog stick. Id rate it at 600.
Porting games, hate it. But gamepad support is just because they can usually. I mean, really, Tf2, Halflife, CS:S and Portal has it. None of those games can be called a port. And any Racing game has to have gampad support. You know how sucky wasd is for racing.
@alondite345 Every PC user with half a brain knows the Ps3 beats the xbox in every aspect except for the fact that Microsoft pays to delay DLC and stuff like that for everything else. They're assholes. I really can't support a company like that.
In FPS games gamepads are inferior. However everyone uses it so it's fair. Autoaim feels very cheap for any PC gamer though.
I agree this video isn't sticking 100% to facts, but it's not terribly unaccurate.
@SnoweyMan111 Well the whole PS3 > Xbox, i do not agree w/. i mean, the PS3 isn't bad, it's juss they're both real different. The 360 has more exclusives and better online interface and servers, for example there's a big petition for a refund for people who bought COD: BO on PS3, saying the online was juss horrible. Then again, Xbox 360's hardware is notorious for going bad.
OP, I'm totally with you, but you should really spell check before you post on Youtube. If you have bad spelling and grammar, then it is really hard for people to take you seriously.
PCs are not even more expensive than a console. I could build you a quad core machine with a decent GPU (about 3 generations BEYOND the 360s) for about $350. in fact tigerdirect is having a sale right now and they have a full quad core machine combo for only $250. yes for less than the price of a PS3 or a 360 (with a harddrive) you can have a PC that runs every current game at high settings except maybe for crysis and metro. i am a computer sciences student, i would say i know a thing or two.
@joshsniper27 plus like people mentioned before PCs are just more cost effective.
Biggest back catalog of games

The whole damn internet...
You're getting a lot more bang for your buck by going to PC.
My PC can emulate any console until the Gamecube/Wii/PS2 and in HD. I played Pokemon Soul Silver on my PC before it was ever released in the US. I also recently started playing .hack all over again in 720p. It's a whole new experience.

Why is it that many people don't realize that video games are for having fun?
alondite345 1 year ago
@alondite345 Yeah, I probably would go console instead of a low end rig for the same price if it wasn't for that. I have pretty much no income. Every video you see is just the same too. I mean. Anyone new to gaming wouldn't chose that if they knew about any better platform. Except if they're just like that.
It's so annoying. You do face the occasional twat on PC too though. But good admins and dedicated servers fix that quite easily. And they seem to learn that they're assholes :)
SnoweyMan111 1 year ago
@MrKIRA32 Well I agree that PC has more games. But quality? Dunno. Id cut off half of those really. I'm sure you agree. Koreans really make shit games. Still more games for PC.
Where's the source btw? Seems weird that you won't mention it.

@alondite345 controller support is just a left over from porting the games to PC...its no extra programming to put it in as it already has to be put in for consoles, its extra work to take it out!
anyway how can you argue about precision between controller and mouse when the mouse has the advantage of 5600DPI vs 50 dpi for precision?
not to mention with controllers you have to pick between fast or precise, with a mouse you just have precise and however fast you move it!
crypticspoon93 1 year ago
@crypticspoon93 :/ Please don't do that. Make sense when supporting PC.
Gamepads are great for some games.
You can't mesure gamepad precision in DPI, it's a raw input from the analog stick. Id rate it at 600.
Porting games, hate it. But gamepad support is just because they can usually. I mean, really, Tf2, Halflife, CS:S and Portal has it. None of those games can be called a port. And any Racing game has to have gampad support. You know how sucky wasd is for racing.

@alondite345
The overwhelming majority of consoles games don't run with more that 30fps and that is common knowledge, you just can't argue about that.
K/M it is better than the controller because it is much more accurate, faster, customizable, more buttons etc. and ofcourse with PC you can use both.
Did I said that Sony & nintendo have no free online? NO. I just said that pc have free online.
It is extremely rare to hear whiny kids on pc on the other hand it is very common on xbox live.

SnoweyMan111 1 year ago

Social networking/IM/email
Design/Content creation
Multimedia
The whole damn internet...
You're getting a lot more bang for your buck by going to PC.
My PC can emulate any console until the Gamecube/Wii/PS2 and in HD. I played Pokemon Soul Silver on my PC before it was ever released in the US. I also recently started playing .hack all over again in 720p. It's a whole new experience.

nice fact list. you can upgrade a pc for $100 or you can upgrade a console for 200-300
