love these ladies!! got lost driving one night and was soooo scared...but put this tape in (tells my age) and relaxed and finally got on the right way!
Just heard this song for the first time this morning. At first I wasn't sure if it was an old school classic or just a new song that had the sound of old school. Then I got on line and looked it up...found out it was recorded during the day of 8 tracks, platforms, disco balls and CB radios.
Lived near Disney World in the late 1990's. Spent a lot of time at Pleasure Island and boogied at 8 Tracks. This was a nightly mainstay. A great tune with a deep baseline.
khalia, please - it's a SPECTACULAR remix. Don't listen to the nay-sayers!!!! But I was wondering if the album covers shown at 3:27 (the bottom left picture in particular) in the video - isn't that an Ohio Players album cover???
And whats wrong with the remix? And besides, its not about the remix, its about the journey of these two women and how the yachieve greatness with the song.
If you don't like it, don't listen to it. Plain and simple.
Khaliamoon... the name itself sounds mystical... exotic. Anyway, you should'nt have wasted your time replying to that moron, torres1009. You did Gr8! Awesome remix!
Thanks for the love. I don't deserve all of the credit. I only played a very small part. a part that, although I am appreciative of the credit, I don't deserve. I just wanted to share something with everyone for everyone to enjoy.
WOO WOO This takes me back!! Love this jam and I was born in 1970 so I was 8 in 78 when this came out and now at 38 this jam still gets me up out my seat! Thanks for the post
And i cudnt agree more again. Its all about money more than ever in the music industry now. Forget talent, brain wash the teens with a fake pretty face and a cover from the 70's or 80's.. thats chart music for you now.
Why people always says the same shit, there´s space and liberty for great musicians to spread their music freely in this era, if you search you´ll find mindblowing music.
In the other hand you can actually say that Pop music has become shit, its nothing like it was decades ago
Obra capital de la època de la mùsica disco que rinde homenaje al genero pianistico del boguie boguie, de donde deriva el rockandroll.Toda una joya de la època.
Cool song to begin with!!!! But, when you have two super talented and beautiful ladies fronting this band, it was a special time in the music world of the late 70's! These ladies were ground breakers and future bass/guitar idols for countless girls worldwide. I know, I married one and she plays bass and I play drums. Great video and song! Thanks for posting Khaliamoon! :)
This is one of my all time favorite songs. Such great chemistry, it has that "Can't help but dance subconsciously to it" sort of effect. Everything is just meant to be played with each other, all falls into place so well. I'm dancing as I type this :P
