in case you were wondering, it's a GBU-38. google it I don't feel like explaining it. This is 1st PLT C Co 1/508 82nd airborne division, and yes I'm the cameraman. I was the platoon's forward observer and I was calling shit in from the roof all day. It is what it is. Just thought I'd settle the argument. If you don't believe me, frankly I don't give a fuck and you can piss off. 500-pound gps-guided bomb from an F15 I believe (I was pretty busy that day with my assets)

The JDAM is merely a low cost guidance kit that converts existing unguided free-fall bombs into accurately guided weapons or delivery packages. They can be used to deploy sonobuoys or other listening devices as well. The fact is they use them for smaller bombs nearby our own troops as this video depicts. I doubt the warhead was much larger than a standard grenade......or mortar warhead...but like someone else said needed to be there at the loading of the weapon to know what.....
