Whats going on is the fact mark cant have one foot on the brake when he isnt in the car.. They dont have handbrakes... Hes trying to get out.. also once the carbon brakes cool down enough they dont grip.. they have to run really hot to work. He is rolling back because he is trying to get out of the car. Common sense guys plz!

He wanted the marshalls to put a fire extinguisher behind the front wheel (as a wheel block) to stop the car rolling down the hill backwards and into the barrier - F1 cars do not have parking brakes, they only brake when the drivers foot is on the pedal. That's why you'll often see mechanics rolling an F1 car down the pitlane with nobody in it, steering it with the wheen from the side of the car.

After race, Marshall's leader commented about this case. He said webber was very angry for his blown out engine and he was acting like crazy. @yilbasindasuslebeni Actually, no, these cars have no handbrake and if the engine is not running a clutch lock isn't going to do a god-damn thing to stop it rolling back. There are several videos of what happens if these things don't get wedged or stopped properly. Mark was probably pissed off about the engine, but he'd have been more pissed off that no-one was understanding him. The very fact that every time he shifted his weight off the brake pedal the car rolled back should have been a hint!
