Ya Rob Kohler is a great guy. Played with him at the UO Jazz camp and he was my band teacher all four years at Oakhill High School. I think a year or two after he left though to pursue his own interests, which is better. He's not as great of a teacher as he is a pure player. I hope he gave you some good insights while he directed your group.
