  • i have to get a plant like that! instead of my dumb one that sits on the edge of the top of the tank and has a crazy root thats like one line with a few little lines coming off it

  • Oh, a glass pitcher, thats not a half bad idea for a little betta home ;)

  • If you can't afford a big enough tank for a fish, then don't fucking get one! Just because bettas can live in a small space doesn't mean they should. You could live in a small room, but would you want to?

  • @missy52803 SHUT THE FUCK UP BITCH!!Bettas are not originally from China! They originated from South East Asian countries like Thailand,Malaysia and Indonesia! They also love to swim so small "homes" are out of the question!

  • You need at LEAST a 1 gallon tank heated and filtered and that only for 3-6 months after that, get a 5-10 gallon filtered and heated tank!!!

  • i am very sorry to say, but your betttas are kept n very poor conditions. you need at least a five gallon tank with heater, filter, and live plants

  • people keep these fish in deplorable conditions

  • WHY DID U BUY BETTA GRAVES?!!!!

  • lets put it this way they probobly wont die

  • nice song ^^

  • Haha the one on the left is cool! :D

  • Comment removed

  • they dont have to have five gallons 1 is just fine for the beginning

  • You're an idiot.

  • A jug and a cup?

  • U ppl should stop being rude...sure it's small but not everyone is rich enough to buy a 20 gallon tank with a bunch of decorations with a filter and heater...

  • @jv777j If thats the case don't buy the animal and let it suffer. Simple as. Also they only need 5 gallons.

  • CRUEL! move your fish to a bigger spot the poor fish can swim in circles which makes it worse you have a huge plant that it can harldy swim, but good thing u did which was keeping it clean, MOVE THEM !

  • I agree with everyone else but maybe thats all they can afford?

  • It's not them posing, your betta's simply can't move :S

  • fish need to be kept in aquariums, not fucking iced tea pitchers.

  • thats just cruel

  • I like the one on the left... but you should get at least a 2 gallon plastic terrarum for both of them with something to hide behind...

  • there not posing u fucking prick there flaring basicaly saying that he wants to kill the other betta

p.s get a tank not a damb cup u anal sucking dildo

  • bigger tanks and heaters... poor fish

  • @Talamishni u r the biggest idiot i ever seen befor u coment look up the facts betas love small space and they dont like big space and they dont need heater dome ass uhg i hate people

  • @22MidgetMan22

you called me stupid when you're the misinformed one.. moron lol. Hey pal would you like to live in a cold closet? Yea didn't think so. What makes you think a fish would. Look up better info about bettas and you'll find the proper way to take care of them.

  • @22MidgetMan22 they need a heater, they live in Thailand where temps reach over 80 degrees. they love to swim. you are what i call a little troll-fucker!

  • How did you keep them from jumping out? Did you have a lid for those or anything?

  • your fish definitely need a bigger tank.

  • Bettas in the wild are used to small spaces. Bettas you get at pet stores are bred in captivity and do not have the same instinct to live in small spaces. When I first got a betta I bought a tiny bowl. Over time I've enlarged the living space realizing how much happier and much more my bettas swim around if given the space. I would recommend giving it a try. They get mighty board turning in circles. It's like an elephant in a circus. Eventually they will go crazy and stop thriving.

  • @monkeyman55580 bettas in the wild actually have a lot of room in the rice paddies they live in.. they aren't just small puddles ya know. Dunno why people think that.

  • beautiful fish, maybe a bigger tank for them, but still the vases look nice

  • I like your pitchers & your Bettas are perdy!

  • dude. a 10 gallon aquarium is $13 dollar's at walmart. come one..

  • you can get a 6 gallon at walmart for 13 dollars

  • the one on the left might be ok...but the one on the right is done for

  • Well, a bigger vase with a filter and heater wouldn't be so bad! Vases can be great homes for bettas if you prepare them properly.

  • im sick of these people crying and saying put him in tanks and shit, theyre not in cups and they look like theyre looked after so stop complaining!

  • Betta's and other fish aren't decorations, they're living creatures.

  • is that a real plant in ur fish's habitat? if so, what kind is it?

  • like from his mouth to the tip of his tail he is the size of my pinky finger. he's very small.

  • i think my betta is very happy in his bowl by the way.. he has plenty of room because he is small and he can see me when im at my desk and he loves to watch.

  • i understand bettas need to swim, but how come no one ever complains when goldfish get put in a bowl?

  • Why are you guys complaining about where they are put? Have you even seen the bettas kept in stores? They are kept in little plastic cups! A vase would be a lot better compared to a cup. Stop being so rude and judgemental about other people...

  • @christian45157 The small plastic cups they're kept in at the store are cruel and inhumane, but thankfully they are temporary homes. They aren't meant to live their entire lives in the cups, they should be kept in a big tank with lots of room to swim around like any other fish.

  • @christian45157 yes yes exactly would these people perfer cups or a vase such as this?!

  • your a crule person dont put one in a big tank and one in a small one and then show them to eachother

  • PLEASE get these poor beautiful creatures a TANK each, not a flower base and a drinks jug. This is animal cruelty, they can't swim in a straight line!

  • I really hope they aren't kept in those vases.

Fricken research animals before you buy them.

  • I have a question. I just recently started getting bettas. How big should their tanks be?

  • @KaylaKicksBabies Go to you local almart and look for a 1 gallon aquaviewfishtank, i got it for my guppies

  • @ScourageStar99 Thank you :)

  • @KaylaKicksBabies no prob

  • I Love your fishes' colours, but they could do with being in bigger "tanks", with a filter and a heater. They, ideally, need at LEAST 3/4 Gallons to be happy.

Anyway, as I said, I LOVE your fishes colours, particularly the pinky one, - I was going to get one that colour, but then when I went back to get it It was sold! : (

    lol

  • why the hell wood you put a betta in a damn koolaid picher and the other in a fucken cup

  • my betta looks just like the one that on the left

  • put them in bigger jars or atleast give the poor blue one a plant

  • Jaja

    Una jarra, buena!

  • your fish are gorgeous. What do you feed them? (if the food is contributing to the way they look)

  • get bigger tanks for both of them anywhere from 2gallons or more

  • WOW! That's a GREAT idea! I should tr to get a Kool-Aid looking container and call the betta I get for it Kool-Aid Kid! XD

Every time I see him I'll shout "OH YEAH!" and every time he doesn't eat his pellets I'll shout "OH NO!!!!" XD

  • SOme people need to relax lol

  • My name is Ben Judge, I dig ya fish, and Billy Talent.

  • Comment removed

  • This is dicusting, theres no excuse you can give me that will justify this. These bettas need atleast a 5 gallon FISH TANK (not cup or bowl) with heating filtration and (if chosen) airation. This is cruel, how would you like to live in a phone booth all your life not ever being allowed out? No i bet you wouldn't would you?

  • Take out the rocks.

    Gives more room.

    Rocks are decor.

    Not necessary.

  • Are these still alive?

  • nice fish bad housing... check out my video just got my betta this weekend and got the entire tank system with the stand for less than $100.

  • tomorow im buying one

  • they do not need tanks!!! they actually hate bigger tanks becuz they have to work twice as hard to get to the top for air so something like in the video is actually fine. my Beta is happy in a fish bowl for 2 years now. so stfu thanks.

  • @0rientalc0wgirl you must know nothing abt fish keeping...

  • i made some vids on my betta too! check them out please =)

  • billy talent XD love ur bettas, prettyful

  • T-A-N-K-S!

  • @XxBubbleBearXx they dont NEED TANK. this is enough

  • check out my new fishyy! i made a video on him!

  • seriously, u need to do some research before buying a pet just cause it looks pretty. those are not acceptable homes for those fish. 3 gallon at least and BOWLS, JARS and VASES are CRUEL.... If u can't afford a tank and dont have time for water changes then dont get the animals.

  • Ugh this is my pet peeve. I'm just going to say you need at LEAST a 3 gallon TANK with a HEATER set at around 80 & FILTER. They will be sooooo much happier and live soo much longer.

  • those look cool

  • hi i like the bigger container , the one to the left. Please consider finding another for the betta to the right.

They need space to swim more.

The other to the left has that at least.

  • omg they are so pretty

they deserve at least a 3 gallon tank for each of them so they can spread out those wonderful fins

its actually more enjoying to watch bettas swim for long distances. they would be so much happier

  • his fish look happy they probably don't care about the tank. :)

  • WTF u got some weird fish homes

  • Ok the jug is fine but the glass is bad put him in a bowl.

  • Awesome bettas.

Investing in tanks would be a good idea, but they seem to be healthy in their current homes.

  • Awesome Betta's!! They seem to like to listen to music!! LOL XD

  • nice bettas and they seem active

  • nice bettas ^^

take your time dont listen to those other people.. its hard to get money sometimes.. but save up some money and buy at least 1 gallon tanks for each of them :) they're about $12 canadian each :P

  • O.M.G! what the Hell! would you like to live in a jug for the rest of your life! beatiful bettas, but for god sake put them in a proper tank! That is soo crule.

  • ohhh shut up like OMG the blue betta could be put into a bowl like the red one but other then that their FINE GOD and atleast there not kept in a little cup like at the stores and are actually able to swim like SHUT UP

  • like OMG if they were like kept in their little cups then like they could have been sold out to people who like... will give them BIGGER homes! Like OMG -_- Being beautiful bettas, they'd get sold right away.

  • make some fricken sense like ?????

  • I was mocking you

  • like OMG you're so annoying and like OMG you should shut up Like OMG

    and they arent fine GOD

get a bigger tank for each of them

  • ohh like yes they are like fine u like dumbass their not like floating are like they there like swiming like wow u like retard

    stop replying ur gettin nowhere

  • lol, ur so funny

and getting me no where?? oh yea, ur comments are making a big difference.

    xD

  • omg ur comment just made my freakin month.. LOL

  • piss off and if they were not allowed to be kept like this then the store would hav to have bigger tanks forem then so fuck off

  • lol, i find it funny how there's ppl like you that have nothing better to do then get mad on youtube

and i never said not allowed. I said they should have a bigger tank. i never said that they need to.

read before you start bitching and complaining

  • i wasnt bitchin just piss off im done with u like i said the 3 OTHER TIMES god read before u reply u dumbass if i wanted to reply i would hav said so but no i said piss off!!!!!

  • oh yea, i said to you to keep replying to me

u saying piss off has no effect on me. all it is to me is some nerd trying to act cool on the internet.

now, im not going to read or reply to any more of ur useless comments, but go waste ur life replying anyways because u probably dont have a life in the first place.

  • O.M.G!! well maybe people dont hav room for a bigger tank or the money.... and thats why they call them BETTA BOWLS u tard

  • @bphidc446

Learn facts about Betta's before you start screaming about how cruel it is. Afaik wild Betta's could live in frelling mud puddles with lower oxygen levels than that pitcher probably has. Yet you scream that a fish being fed for, is in no danger of predation or death, has clean water and also is as healthy as anything, is suffering for being in a water jug?

My god are you stupid or blind, or both?

  • @YamsRyu Learn about bettas? How about you learn about them. What you are believing is a common MYTH.

This myth comes from a misunderstood idea of their natural environment in the rice patties, rivers and shallow streams of Asia. Bettas have a natural adaptation that allow it to breathe in shallow, low-oxygenated water. This does not mean that it’s natural environment consists of just a few cups of water. Many of these shallow areas spread on for MILES. Do you get it?

    MILES.

  • @bphidc446 jeeeeeze person there fine bettas dont need huge homes !!!!! They can live in small homes hers look very active and healthy so there fine mayb some ppl cant afford huge betta tanks or some have common sence not to get there betta fish a 20 gallon tank and btw it may look small to u but if ur the size of a betta that a good sized home !!!

  • @bphidc446

You're retarded. Bettas used to live in puddles and rice patties, and can live in conditions like this happily. If I cupped my hand and put water in it then put the betta in my hand it would live (If I wanted a betta in my hand for awhile)

Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

    And clean up your spelling!

  • @bphidc446 Shut up..... Bettas live in 1 liter of water in the water..... Retard.....

  • @Mellon8988 and providing food was brought to you, you could live your life in a wardrobe but would you be happy.......................

  • @Jwonni Yes i would if thats all i had.

  • @bphidc446 if u think this is cruel wait till u see the fish keychains they have in china! omg weirddd

  • They need a cover with air holes so they dont jump out.

  • Please get a bigger tank for the both of them :) They look pretty in here but they need more room to swim and be active :)

  • ummmm- you need much bigger bowls or a tank for them! Not a healthy environment- just FYI

  • ANIMAL CRUELTY!

  • Tierquälerei!

  • bigger tank go pick 2 up from walmart

  • uh ur the retarted 1 the #1 cause of their death are ..... fattty livers a duh ... and 2 5 dollar bowl wont kill the guy

  • bettacare101.googlepages. com

  • cool but the one on the left is not good!!!

bettas dont like circles and tall areas.

shoud put it in atleast square tank of 1- 5 gallons.

  • Gorgeous fish I swear to god...

  • I originally had my betta in a vase like your blue one is in. It was good temporarily, but I don't think they do too well in long vases b/c they gulp surface air and need a lot of room to swim. I moved him to a 2 gallon hex tank after a few weeks. They're pretty, though! :)

  • i like the one in the pitcher

  • i like your fish

  • They are gorgeous for veiltails, im not a huge fan of veiltails myself, they are like staffy dogs to me, nothing really wrong with them but they are so god damn common like flies, i like rareity, someting that you dont see every day, like a copper crowntail!

BUT THEY ARE VERY PRETTY! GO BETTAS!

  • 1 gallon per betta minimum. that looks to be half gallon. nice fish :)

  • 4-5 gallons per betta will help you keep the nitrates below 25mg/l to 30mg/l. This is vital to their health.

Though, they are great bettas, they need a bigger tank, heaters, and filtration.

  • my betta dosent jump

  • very pretty :) however, betta's can jump and should have lids on their tanks.

  • omg I LUV BETA'S =)

my friends buying me one for my birthday next month but i don't know how much they cost...

plus with the accessories and all... how much did it cost u for ur beta's??

  • The betas themselves aren't too expensive, 5 dollars. Bowls are about 13 dollars. My one gallon tank was 20 dollars,it came with a filter and light. The pebbles (not each of course lol) are about 4 dollars. Food is 3 dollars and water conditioner is 4 or 5 dollars. Plants are about 3 dollars. The total is about 30 dollars.

  • The fun of course is priceless ;)They do sell cheap kits however that I don't exactly recommended. It funner to choose out your own plants and pebbles (: The kits that include water conditioner, food, gravel, plant, and tank range from 7 to 20 dollars. The usual is 15 dollars. But like I said I dont like the kits.

  • they're beautiful... gorgeous colors... i hope u do them justice by providing them larger housings... :)

  • Beautiful bettas, horrible housing. They need bigger housing.

  • oh my gosh your bettas are so pretty. Great colors!!

  • nice colors

  • Cute! Just remember to do regular water changes or get them bigger homes:]

  • Why so much gravel it just takes up room that more water could use

  • The gravel provides the structure for the biological filter colony. the plant does most of the rest and its roots needs the gravel depth.

The smaller pitcher was just a temp while I was cleaning the blue bettas real tank.

  • I see but the plant is fake . Either way great looking bettas both of them

  • Why would you think I would use a fake plant? All my tanks have live plants in them.

  • The plant in bigger vase with purple/red betta is plastic thats why I said that

  • I do not own plastic plants. If you look closely you can see the wool material that the plant comes potted in. The little plastic pot is removed and the plant left to grow into the gravel. That is why the gravel is deep for the roots system. The gravel also provides the medium for the biological filter colony that helps control water quality. That plus the plant providing the oxygen makes this a great environment for the fish. Why would you not believe me when I told you the first time?

  • That plant is fake but regardless great looking fish however its not a live plant

  • @2Fat43D It's sad to see these beautiful Bettas in jars.

  • The plant looked fake to me as well, that's why I went back to check comments before I commented on it. Something about the squareness of the base made me think that, I guess. I'm glad to hear it's real! :D Those look like very healthy fish. Congratulations, and a long life to both of them! :)

  • that's a large pitcher on the left. It probably already holds a gallon on its own

  • And yes you do have beuatiful bettas, you should try to get them at least a gallon tank each. They have cool ones that even have filters for only $10.00 at petsmart dot com

  • OMG I FOR SURE HOPE THEY ACTUALLY DONT STAY IN THOSE SMALL VASE THINGS!!!! HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO LIVE THERE?!!!?!!!?! Why would you do that??? If they were there just for that time then, Ok, but otherwize you are mean to bettas!

  • bettas live in small places naturally...they hate big tanks and strong current...do some research before you talk...i get annoy by people like you who thinks they are smart and knows everything

  • Nope your wrong. Betta's are from shallow water yes, but small I don't think so!! Ever see a rice field they're huge tons and tons of swimming space no cramping there. These containers are no good unless temporary or as sick tanks. These fish are stressed believe me!

  • let me guess, did you google it too?...lol...good for you

  • Wow, I think it's you who needs to do more research.

Come on, where's the "they live in small rice paddies" arguement? Have you googled rice paddy? They're shallow (to us), but it's still thousands of gallons of water in a full functioning eco-system.

As for the strong current, some bettas handle it fine, some don't. Most all of them don't at first b/c they're kept in small cubicles or cups where they can't build their swimming muscles.

You have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about.

  • i've been breeding for many years and keeping them for a long time...i don't take advice from wikipedia or google...i know what i am doing...i just get annoy by people like you who whine and cries about everything...so don't try to lecture me...you go ahead and google your brains out...lol...hey and just to let you know, i came from a place where they have rice pads...and my family farms one you stupid dumbass...lol...go back to school and get that diploma

  • Well, I guess you showed me with such a mature attitude! Yeah go you!

As for breeding them... uh huh... keep the lies coming. And how convenient that you live on a rice paddy as well! Wow, must be great to live in lala land!

It's going to be fun to see what you come up next :D

  • you sure have proven to me that you haven't recieved that diploma yet. Once you do, come back and we can have a chat together. Do me a favor, go reread my comments. Then revise you comment. I know you didn't catch it but when you do, i'll tell you. BTW, son't try to be scarcastic...before you get the story straight. It's not maturity versus maturity.

it is retard versus maturity. Yes and you are the retard.

  • Oh you make me LOL so much. I guess calling people a "retard" is your way of showing just how mature you are. Good for you :D

Anywho, I haven't even really commented on the actual vid! Your bettas do look really great, but I would get them larger bowls or tanks. At the very least, a gallon each. And their bowls/tanks really need lids. They don't look it, but they can jump. The fishy forums that I go to have plenty of people who have lost bettas due to them jumping out of uncovered containers.

  • it is, and thanks for helping me prove it. it was entertaining at the same time. Thanks for the comment i'm glad i made you laugh a lot. GET OVER IT ALREADY
