@blackbravo Your saying that the HTC Hero is an imitation? Imitation of iPhone? Well if it is then ur wrong becayse HTC has done a wonderful job of building a phone that has some of the best features both hard and software, it also has THE BEST MOBILE OS.

Apple did not innovate anything, they got bits and pieces from other manufacturers and put them together then added an attractive UI.

Android is much better, it is so customisable, oh and this phone won the Global Mobile Awards 2010.

For those who have an HTC Hero now or are looking at getting one, they're releasing a major update in the next month or 2 that clears up the laggy performance on the phone. If you search for "HTC Hero ROM Update" you'll find a video of someone with a sample of the update. I have an HTC Hero and it is an amazing phone, my friends have had iPod Touches and iPhones for a while now and I can say that I'm so glad I bought this instead, it's a great phone to have.

Anyway, people have their own priorities. Flash comes at the cost of speed. And I would generally keep flash off if I had a choice. Easy way to get rid of all those irritating banner ads.

Anyway just to point out. You can't really play many of the flash games on a phone. Phones get a limited flash player. And flash on a touch screen phone is anyway overrated as there is no rollover. just touch.

But because of iphone, and html5 flash days are ending online.

the slight lagginess is due to the re-rendering of the fonts.. it will change the way sentences are displayed.. u can see that at 1:31 and 1:38.. the iphone/ipod touch doesnt do that..

The guy at the end is kind of an asshole but he makes a good point. If HTC had gone the extra mile and given this phone the kick ass hardware to make what seems like a beautiful UI run like butter, it would become not simply a competitor on the smart phone market but more of an obvious choice.

What? I don't own an iPhone, nor am I an Apple Fanboy. Just trying to point out that when someone finally asks the HTC dude why this new UI/Hero is sluggish, the video cuts off before he can answer. Again, the original iPhone is not laggy when using multitouch, therefore, a "new" and "powerful" device should not be either (I don't think that's unreasonable to expect)... but clearly it is in this video (and others). I was interested in hearing the explanation from the HTC rep.
