The vast majority of the population in the Czech Rep. consider themselves agnostic or atheist.
I think only about 2million (out of a population of 10million) are Catholics.
I sent an amazing Erasmus in Prague and walked past that monument many times.

I think it has something to do with their Communist past, which imposed a very secular society.
Most of the Catholics are in Brno in the south-east of the country.

Yeah probably... but also in Romania was a very hard dictatorship.... but the churches were full during communist rule... even though the people there were registred ... and some were even beaten

The Czech republic along with Estonia is the least religious country in Europe. 59% are atheist, 27% are catholic and 3% protestants.

Because I can't think how someone can be an atheist.I don't understand this... for me it's very clear...that God exists.Maybe you're not so well informed... you didn't have a proper religious education...Bad for you..my friend.

If God exists, where he was during the World War I and World War II? Where he was on September 11th 2001? And have anyone seen God? So how can you say it's clear that he exists?
