Vlingo iPhone App - Voice Control iPhone 3G

Vlingo doesn't seem to work on my iPhone 3G 3.1.3. It just doesn't start up. You click on the app then a screen comes up. Then you expect that it is loading. But NO! It just goes back to your home screen. Like if nothing happened. And if you did it again it would do the same thing before. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!

If you can't assign this to the home button it kinda defeats the purpose, right? Why would I open the app and talk when I could open another and tap a name on my favourites? :/
