  • ..Its weird how where the floods happened, they happened 30 BLOODY MINUTES FROM MY TOWN. ;_; It was pretty flooded in my town though. Having water halfway up a signpost *3-5 meters.* can make you shit bricks sometimes.

  • 10 days without power and couldn't even get down our driveway because it washed away

  • To our friends in Australia, you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. May your beautiful country and it's people recover quickly! PEACE!

  • the thing is that go face book i got invite to go fishing down queen street mail but i didnt go because i was in canberra XP

  • yeah the floods are over i can get back to brissy but now there a cyclone come yeah "best year ever" not XD nya

  • 21 people don't get the point.

  • now victoria is flooding YAY...;(

  • Seems like feast or famine for you blokes in Oz. Even wet in Melbourne, my friend in Footscray tells me. Hope things are recovering and hope you all have the fortitude to keep going. This is as bad as the fires a bit more than a year ago that destroyed huge areas south of Quuensland (especially my favorite places in the Dandenongs).

  • Sydney's weather is finally good today, hope it stays this way!

  • Europe also has floods, they are almost annual at this point in my country and it is also pretty hard on everybody involved. Hope thing get better soon. Hang in there!

  • 0:32 What happened the The Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, oh yeah, and Alaska? As far as I know, those are all part of the United States too!

  • @YOSUP315 Just SO not the fucking point. GTFO

  • @Blunty3000 Amen!

  • @YOSUP315 yeah if the us didnt have alaska australia would be bigger.

  • I live in the UK and I got kinda emotional after seeing the scale of the disaster. I hope that it goes away quickly so that the efforts to rebuild all that has been lost can go underway.

Also, what kind of mongs disliked this video?

  • well those are only the 48 states.

  • I donated $5

    Not alot, but still...

  • My Australian friends have had to move for fear of the flooding, it's terrible :(

  • My girl lives in Austria.... i hope she is ok...*cries*

  • @DemonForce5 Australia, not Austria...

  • @DemonForce5 the floods arn't in Austria there in Australia and we din't really need to know and i assume shes not a proper girlfriend considering that she lives on a different continent

  • blunty my cousins lived in a part of qld that had alot of flooding and i live in nsw

  • Victoria had simular problems, where several towns flooded, and both the Marybynong and Yarra Rivers are the highest possible without breaking its banks

  • Just got back in NSW on "holidays" from the Gold Coast, Queensland and it was lucky that it did not flood in that part of QLD, but I had to avoid the route I took on the way up there, so just a minor inconvience.

  • I am glad hear you and love one are ok

  • Dude, i know your channel since today, but i guess it could be my top 1.

btw, hope your Family etc will be ok.

God Bless you and all other Austalians in need!!

Wish i could do more than just spaming here...

ofcourse i will make a donation!

  • Thanks for the report, Blunty. Your channel is pretty much the only info I get about Australia.

  • I am sorry if you did already mention this, but does anyone know what caused the flooding?

  • @tejanos2 Excessive rain

  • 20 (amount of dislikes when posted) people are heartless.

  • I feel for you Blunty. I live in Tennessee in the US. Nashville, Tennessee was hit by major flooding last year. It was like this. Lives lost, homes and business lost. I'm glad you are ok. I hope people donate to this effort. People need it. For those who thinks they don't need it. This displaces lives and the funds go toward the victims. God Bless!

  • Yeah. Even my friend in Melbourne is talking about how wet it has gotten in the Footscray and Dandenong areas.

  • You want natural disaster? I spent 19 hours in a 40 hour or so period at work (Woolworths) on a register, after the City was closed... Well our store was violated... Raped by customers overstocking up.

  • @GoRoKo59 That natural disaster was caused by another natural disaster of a much broader scale

  • When Australia has a disaster we band together and show great support to thoses in need! And it is humbling to see makes me glad to live in this amazing country

  • I donated what I could, I can only hope it makes some actual difference.

  • Damn! Australia is fucking huge.

i guess thats to be expected though, it is a continent after all

  • the flood not heard round the world

  • Hadn't realized just how bad it was getting in Austraulia. Hope you and your family manage to get through this okay. If there isn't time it's cool. But the symbols are different than those used in the States, and I don't understand all of them. Could you perhaps explain them for a few of us Blunty, that might not be familiar? Trucks, helicoptors, erm a crossing guard, fish heads.. The water is clear enough. Rain, and guessing the alert is impending or immenent situation.

  • wow... Happy New Year! (sarcastic).

  • Global warming I think. Weather throughout world is changing.

how about making a video like collaboration and using that in a way to raise money for this flood charity fund. Or musiciians to donate there itunes earnings to charity?

Theres an idea floating around the net called Click to give, and for those who want to learn survival skills should this happen to you, youtuber rickvanman has some tips about surviving natural disasters.

thought id mention those as way to help

  • @skbworld2008

Wake up dumbass! There is a pole shift going on right now! This will effect everyone, not just the people down under!

    /watch?v=xRiIe5wZzTY

  • thank you for your comment, and your opinion.

  • Thank fudge your ok man. I just hope nothing more bad comes from this.

  • If you want to get some sort of prespective on how destructive flooding is watch When The Levees Broke it is about hurracain Katrina but still it is a heart stoping documentry. Although I have never witnessed any huge flooding and will obviously never understand the impact on peoples lives it has I can kinda imagine how horrible it really is.

So I hope these people will be as okay as they can be about something as uncontrolable as this.

  • glad your ok blunty

but soon the floods will stop and everything should return back to normal, you just gotta wait a little

  • I can't afford a donation but I'm spreading the word.

  • I wonder if there's been consideration of the possibility of a mossie plague after the water recedes?

I think the worst thing for people's mental health is being flooded, returning to their home thinking it's all over then being flooded again almost immediately. I think this would be worse than watching your home being washed away, it's just one shock to the system, not multiple.

  • @SauronsEye The Mozzie situation has been mentioned a couple of times in news reports. But nothing major. They have pretty much have told QLDers to prepare with things like repellents. I think they are keeping a close eye.

They are more worried about water contamination at this stage. And apparently 1 town has been confirmed to have ecoli (sp?) but so far the rest seem to be ok. They are telling people to be careful with what water they do have, so there is no contamination.

  • The hardest thing to comprehend is not really knowing what is happening to the people right now, but all our thoughts are with them ,, i wish them well

  • the worst flood in 40 years? Are you telling me this happens every 40 years?

  • @TsuKing No, just that there were similar sized floods in 1974. The floods of 2010/2011 are being compared to those 1974 floods.

  • Lets just hope everyone gets the help they need up in Queensland and that the floods don't continue all the way down to Sydney.

  • This is horrible.

  • Right now ,being 15 years only and not being able to help out. Aggrevates me... ALot.

  • I actually live on the gold coast where we have been extremely lucky. No floods what so ever even though we are so close to Brissy and Ipswich. Just waiting for tonight to be over so we can see the extent of the damage tomorrow after even more water flows into the brisbane river from the wivenho (?) dam.. Really unfortunate circumstances, and I'm feeling rather useless..

  • hmmm....did not know that Aus was that big. Aus is the worst place for flooding with all of their..."Unique" animals

    Will be in my prayers.

  • I luckily moved to the outer suburbs but spent most of the day helping my friends move.

There's a lot of good people in Brisbane. :)

  • My Sister and her Fiancée have been evacuated from Ipswich, my brother has been evacuated from Fortitude Valley, so we're all at my house with my parents, which is in a suburb surrounded by two rising rivers, hopefully they'll be calmed by the opposing tide, but we can only hope. None of us can get to work at the moment and the shops shelve's have been wiped clean.

Thanks for the support Blunty, its truely appreciated.

  • @darklink47 Praying does not help only money does :3

  • @swedenxtrem wrong.

  • @Digikid2007 Okey :D There are other ways but.... there is no way at all to prove that praying would help...... at all

  • It effects every Aussie thanks for sharing

  • thank you for the video :( god I hope everething will be ok

  • Death count has been confirmed to be 12. One being a 4yr old who fell out of a rescue boat, and was unable to be recovered.

Last I saw It was at 50+ missing, (was originally 90) with 12 with great concern.

Flooding has started to happen in the North side of NSW, and S.A, VIC and TAS have all been given flood warnings for the next 24-48hrs.

Queensland will be seeing it peek within the next 24hrs. And is believe to exceed 1974's peek water level.

It's insane stuff. And it's been hard to watch.

  • @Mimzula 13 dead now, and its gone up aroudn 50 with grave concern for them, i saw that a family was on their roof, the water was in their hosue and the fridge tipped on the wife, the husband ran in to save her and they both drowned and the kids survived, it's gut wrenching stuff mate.

  • @tseebsic 13 now?! I live in Victoria, and the reports have been back to back.

All the stories today has just been so crushing. I really hope things get easier soon.

There has been reports already of towns in Victoria flooding, and roads being shut. I know Victoria wont have anything near as bad as Queensland. Still leaves me very unsettled.

My heart goes to all that have been affected.

  • my house was affected by the floods we hat to exacuate the two things i brough with me were my xbox and my laptop but still it was insane half of my street is gone houses ripped off and gone :\\\\\\ my house is still standing but the damages :( not good

  • blunty, i live south of toowomba (or however you spell it) and (thank f*cking god were about 20 meters above sea level, were just cut off, a couple of k's down is under water, stores around here are closing and were looking to canned foods as a supply. we'll make it but im not sure of my close friends. im just glad my parents liked the houses up hill.

  • @FrogJon Dude... really not the point.

  • @Blunty3000

I know. Just trolling. Nothing to see here.

  • @Blunty3000 i would up vote this a million times if i could

  • @FrogJon

Our version is New Zealand /me runs j/k

  • @FrogJon lol ur comment got hidden for to many negative votes XD

  • @FrogJon lol hahahaha palin sucks she caused that freak to shoot up the gabrielle giffords convention

  • @FrogJon you sir is a 1st class douche bag...

  • @FrogJon WTF does it matter. Lives are lost people forced from the only home they have. Unless you have personally witnessed what happens when this occurs you can't say much.

  • @FrogJon : Your American right? You are more interested in how big your Fu*** land is, while Blunty tryes to help people who NEED help... i know why i dont like americans...(the most)

  • @FrogJon As an american, you're really dumb... for one, THAT'S NOT THE POINT, for two Palin isn't the governor of AK anymore. it's been so long since she's been even around AK anymore.

IDK y i moved here anymore, a lot of ppl like you are stupid... you correct him then change your mind? AK is where we get most American oil

  • I live in Brisbane, I feel helpless though as my area wasn't affected by the floods, but I know many people who have been affected and some who have lost their homes and are having to go to evac centres.

  • I live in Emerald , QLD , our house was one of the lucky ones but alot of my friends house's where completely flooded in.

  • Geez I hope you friends and family continue to stay ok and wish them the best

But I have no money in some serious debt

  • @darklink47 Make an account then..

  • aww blunty. that is a really nice vid. good on you :)

  • I thought you lived in Tasmania Blunty.

  • @lamareikan666 Past tense. I left Tassie years ago.

  • @Blunty3000 Damn you traitor! :D

  • @lamareikan666 Tassie is a blast from the mega past. :P

  • That's terrible. Just awful I hope my home country Canada helps Australia. Because we're both common wealth countries and we should help one another in times of disaster.

  • You're lucky to be in Sydney, Blunty.

For those poor people in Queensland, I hope that they get out of there OK. This is a very emotional and as he said, traumatic, moment for those citizens.

    Everything will be alright guys!

  • much damage is being Down I better some commercials and shit that they did for Haiti.

  • Terrible. Just terrible. If so

  • I'm brazilian, but I lived in Brisbane for a while a few years ago and so I feel even more for everyone who's in the affected regions.

  • im glad im outta there, im just outside of the affected areas. what annoys me is some ppl who are stupid and do stupid things causing problems for others and risking the lives of others, although what makes me happy is to see australian mateship at its finest as you see just random people of the street are out there helping and doing a great job at it to!

  • Well, 49 of our 50 states currently have snowfall. So.... Yeah.

  • @crissray haha

  • @crissray Oh my god, Snow. How do you cope. The stuff washing your house away washing cars out to sea. That snow is serious.

  • @crissray Did anyone die from it?

  • @ktptjtwtf 15 people have died so far. 90 still missing or unaccounted for.

  • @MissMeganAnn123 I was asking crissjay who asked "Well, 49 of our 50 states currently have snowfall. So.... Yeah." He sounded a bit insensitive about Queensland's flooding situation. The US has snowfall every winter. But flooding is a natural disaster..

So I already know about the death toll..I live in Brisbane

  • Sorry to hear it.

Our prayer go out to you and your country.

  • hey blunty I feel you man hope that all your friends and everyone over there can get through this and be ok.

  • sorry 100 million us dollars per day my bad

  • australia gave over 100 million dollars during the indonesian tsunami, and 66.5 mil to pakistan during their floods, i just hope other countries understand that we need aid aswell, i saw on the news before because of all the crops being flooded and the mines being flooded, the economy is losing $1bil a day. our government can't afford to rebuild all of this by themselves.

  • @lllooonnnyyy Apparently Indonesia has attempted to help after we helped them following the 2006 tsunami. But KRudd has said foreign aid is "too logistically difficult" to recieve. So we've certainly been recieving offers of help.

  • @spiegel No, if you'd read the previous comments you'd see that I was sarcastically insulting someone who made an apocalyptic reference, moron.

  • mogilny89p u fuckwit. Incase u haven't been to these areas, weather ruins lives because most of these people rely on their farms as their lively hoods. And half of the people found dead so far are children. Lucky u didn't say that to Aussies face to face cuz they would fuckin drown u in a heartbeat. Ur probably a blind arrogant fuckin American aren't ya? Do u even know where Australia is?

  • we have these devestations( storms, floods etc...) pretty regularly on the east coast of north america. having been on the army and navy side of disaster relief more than i would have liked, during my career, it is never easy to witness up close, what nature can do to our lives, especially when you may know ppl( family or friends) in the effected areas. thx for the update( better from you than the evening news).

  • looks like the flood of 1997 in the red river valley.

  • Weather "ruins people's lives"? How is that? If your life revolves around property it was "ruined" long ago.

  • @mogilny89p um people drown in flood dude

  • @mogilny89p it "ruins" peoples lifes, cuz stuff like floods, and storms kill people, people loose lots of money, and can end up on the street panhandling, ect...

  • @mogilny89p and lose all their money, and end up pan-handling :P

  • @mogilny89p Take your house, car, and almost everything you own away and see how your life is.

  • first thing i would take with me if i had to evacuate my house is my ps3 and computer.

  • gald to see your Ok Blunty ;) I remeber when we had flooding where I live not as bad as this like but you feel like ya carnt really do anything because is nature ;D

  • I know how it is, I live on the coast of Mississippi and we all had to endure Hurricane Katrina. I got 2 feet of water in my house, about a foot at my Job. The town I live in was 90% under water. I didn't lose everything but I lost a lot. I knew people who had nothing but the clothes on their backs. I know exactly what you and the Victims of the floods there are going through.

  • Here in Caboolture, so far we've only ended up with some roads shut down, including the main one between here and the other town.

Was supposed to be worse off today but so far not a spit of rain.

  • Brisbane is north of Sydney?

  • @Taco1011 Where the hell did you think it was?

  • @munchie64 WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM?!? I JUST ASKED

  • @Taco1011 ....all I did was ask a question as well. No need to yell. lol. I just thought that the answer was obvious. And why the hell did you think I was angry at you, enough to type in all caps?

  • Great video but i would have thought you'd enable revenue on this video so you could donate all money made from it.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm terribly sorry for the people who have to live through natural disasters. I myself live in a part of the United States that rarely sees any severe weather, so I feel...a little guilty.

  • yea im aussie live in victoria...i understand whats going on.but apparently 17 people dont.

  • my heart goes out to australia and to you blunty stay safe

  • lol i was in a natural disaster may 3rd 1999 my entire house and all my belongings were destroyed it was horrible but still best of luck to everyone in Australia and i hope they all make it out ok

  • Blunty, You can crash at my place if you hit the worst of times. I got our back bro.

  • Donated £30 i'm from the uk but i feel bad gl au :)

  • someone commented earlier that the flooding is the size of Texas - actually, it's approximately the size of Texas, California, Montana, New Mexico and Arizona added together - this is not a small flood guys!

  • I've mailed in a cheque. My heart goes out to all those effected.

  • my heart goes out to all people effected by the flood in austrailia because in canada in new brunswick a little over a month ago had bad flooding also so ive been through floods before too and i was suprised that he made a video about this happening im so touched that blunty has done this video to show his caring about his country

  • friends in perth that know people in brisbane are telling us of how bad it is! it sounds soo horrible i feel bad for all of the people thatt ever have to go through a natrual distater

  • It's great to see a video like this from Blunty. Normally we have this funny sarcastic guy, but here he shows how much he cares, and that it isn't all about fun and tech. Great video! defiantly donating!

  • alot of people died?

  • This is a good video Blunty...not your usual style but it's cool to see you talking about big news issues.

  • donated $20

im so glad to hear that everyone is ok

i wish there was more i could do

  • i hope your friends that still live where you used to are all ok.

  • I am so happy you're alright. My heart goes out to those who were affected.

  • funny how, had it happend in africa or asia, no one would give a shit, at least not this much... not saying you should not feel bad about whats happening to the land down under... Is it gonna stop anytime soon?? What are they saying on the news?

  • @loki0807... I care

  • @loki0807 Another 2-3 Weeks. Maybe a month.

  • There's crazy weather across the board globally this season. I have family in NSW, and they've been telling us about the bad floods in Aus. I hope no one gets killed, and the water level goes down fast.

  • It's impossible to understand how some piece of shit could dislike this, between this, the arizona shooting, the animals dying in Arkansas, I think the world is ending...

  • I would donate if I could :x best of luck and I'll hope that everything gets better for you guys.

  • got a 200 dollar bonus, ill donate

  • @n11lc2 <3

  • We had a tornado go through Missouri on new years eve! I am not sure about the numbers but I think around 8 people died. I had to work in that storm too, sucked for me. Those Floods are worse though, and I am sure the death toll is much higher. It completely dwarfs the Tornado damages. What a horrible way to start the new year. Maybe Armageddon has come a year early. This is why I try not to watch the news, 90% of it is massively depressing.

  • so whats causeing the flooding, a storm? water just riseing into the citys?

  • We had bushfires in Victoria for one summer and floods in Queensland this summer... so what can we expect to happen to Sydney next summer?

  • I cant send money but i'll keep them in my prayers

  • I think Tsunami is the coolest word in the world.

  • how can you dislike this video?

    wow ppl are just

    AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

  • @22may95 maybe they are thinking about it differently. Maybe they think it symbolism the fact that they dont like the fact that the flooding has happened. Could be that. Obviously though thats not how the rating should be used as a higher rated video will get more views and spread the word (which is good) I liked it anyway.

  • Praying for you guys.

  • 13 people have no hearts.

  • Um, isn't that the only things you hear from Australia? Either floods or water shortage/fires.

  • my donation is the my visa fee, the visa i never got...Blunty I like you but I hate your visa system... stings... wate of time and prejudice.... sorry to say but it is :(

  • Glad you are ok. Sorry to see so much hardship. people will get through!

  • im over in Brisbane. I have never see this much water EVER (im 15)

My friends have had their houses flooded. i hope everybody is alright who is effected by these floods and I hope we can get you on your feet. I hope that my $77 will help.

  • i dont give to any charity, most of the money thats given doesnt get where its going anyways

  • @theboarman

but some will get where its going and will help

say if only £5 of my £20 went to a charity, thats still £5 more than they had and every little helps

  • i never knew that aussie was so big compared to the usa and im a honour student for geography

  • there something wrong with 13 people in the world

  • 13 people don`t have a life ._.

  • glade your doing ok amigo
