Hi, I know some research groups are even working on translating movements of the body directly into music (in simulation, the other way around is possible :-) ). They are using a great motion capture system, Xsens MVN, that also creators of Daz3D have used.

I downloaded this program but it says that i need open gl 3 and that's not a problem easy to solve... i mean, you can't write in google "download openGl 3" and install it. I dont have time to solve this problem now but if somebody can tell me how answer this comment.

A long involved process. You have to learn another program that can export to DAZ's model format.

I've played around with this program,made a few short vids and with everything i've seen on you tube there's no finished videos that suggest to me that it's worth continuing with this program.Not to mention the oppressive rendering times,it will tie up your computer for days for one short 2 minute clip.

You can find tons of free content to use in DAZ Studio.

DAZ has many free content items and Renderosity has thousands of free items.

The free people from DAZ are great to have.

If you have a 3d modeling program , then you can make items for DAZ and Poser.

Manually, you can use File Import.

Automatically, you can go to -Edit- , -Prefences- , then look under directories, and then add folders to be searched and added to the Daz studio library automatically. Just make sure you do it for all content types and not just ( Daz native formats )

I do have a quick question though. On the video at the 5:30 mark (animating the face), how are you animating a mesh? I have animated objects, but when I do it, they're "hinged" together. How do I make something with a smooth "skin-like" surface between joints (objects)? Thanks!

Oh and as for the catch part...all the second and third generation models are free for the next 10 years. Lots of places to find free hair, clothes, props, poses, you name it there is probably a place that has it for free and Daz has one or more freebies every week, as well as vouchers and coupons on ocassion.

Daz is a free program, once installed and you open it you need to add the serial code, you can find this at the daz site in your acct. puppeteer is part of daz, so its free. You can bring in other models to use. You can not yet model in daz, you need other programs for that. Best place to ask questions is at the daz site under forums on the commons thread or nuts and bolts thread.

People generally overlook the fact that Daz Studio isn't a 3d creating software. I first felt the same way when I tried this out about a year ago, but then I realized what it was really used for. Daz Studio is used Model and animate 3d objects. They have other programs that are mainly used for handbased creations from scratch, like ( Bryce - Landscapes/Terrains ) and ( Hexagon - ModelCreations )

i had the same problem, go to content click the arrow at the top right of the content box until a content option apears in the box, click it, then go to figures, and just find a figure double click and that should be it.

you can make your own with other daz software

the mouse over the lines to see your animation, then go to record when everything is ok, then drag the mouse over the lines and then go to Render > Render Settings "Make Movie" then click "Accept". Then wait for it to render and your good to go but I'm not entirely sure on how it works yet need to sort out some glitches on my animatiomn

When it starts with the basic Victoria model go to View > Tabs > Puppeteer then click on it then there will be a dot. Move one body part each time by poising it yourselves or with the "Powerpose" tool, then each time you pose a different body part make another dot and so on...  When your finished test to see if it is ok by going to preview and drag,

It's free download. you have to register it at Daz3D for free to use it. It is also not that much use without a lot of plugins.

Puppeteer is free and comes with it though and it works much better than the built-in animation tools

Yeah, you can save it as a video file by going into the render tab and configuring it to make a movie after you are finished animating the scene.
